I don’t know about the dim sum, but the dinners here are really bad. I’ve been here for two dinners now. The first one was for an event where tickets were over $80. That was probably the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had in Toronto. So I wanted to give them another chance by going back for a dinner that wasn’t for an event. It was a bit better but still no good. I’ve tried about 20 of their dishes. And of those 20, all of the most expensive dishes (e.g. lobster) were the most poorly executed. Everything else was just okay. I haven’t had a single thing that has been very good from this restaurant. Maybe their dim sum is better. Either way, I’m not going back. cookingwithalison.com

First time here for dimsum on a Saturday. We made reservations; surprised they even accepted reservations on a sat. It wasn’t too busy which was a pleasant surprise. Nice and big place. Food was quite good. Loved the grilled squid, sui mai and rice noodle rolls. The haw gau were huge.

Agreed with most of the post, Gold Mark Chinese Cuisine worth around 2out of 5 stars max.Overall ambience is OK, clean and nice layout. Typical service attentiveand prompt servers, however, my latest experience revealed that the foodquality had gone down. Ordered various dumplings, they were OK. The fried noodles was pretty good in terms of display, but it’s verygreasy and overly spicy (menu did not indicate spicy dishes !!). Also tried the restaurant recommended must-tryitem – this deep fried dish was a complete disappointment!!! The item had lostits crispness and freshness, felt like it was fried 2-3 days ago. Poor food quality. Food quality does not match the high price. There are lots of other decent options in theneighbourhood!Good luck Gold Mark Chinese Cuisine, you wont see me again!

Phenomenally Bad. I was there for dinner on May 21st, 2015 and will never go there again. My family ordered three dishes. The first dish was a soya-sauce soaked and steamed half chicken. The plate was big and the chicken was small. The meat was tender but the flavour was not in the chicken and only in the sauce. The second dish was a cream sauce braised vegetable. This was an awful dish. The cream sauce had the consistency and look of white glue and had no flavour. The vegetables were tough and old. The vegetables were also not cut into an appropriate size and would not fit on to a personal plate or bowl. The final dish was an onion and garlic spare rib. It’s hard to imagine messing up ribs but they managed to do it. The ribs had absolutely no flavour. It was the most disappointing dish of the three.Three dishes and two bowls of rice, after a 10 percent discount came to $50. Way too expensive and definitely did not match the poor quality of the food. This is the most horrid meal I have had in recent memory. The decor was decorated in a very fancy and ornate fashion. But the quality of the food definitely did not match. A low class restaurant masquerading to be high class cuisine. I will never set foot in that restaurant again and I strongly urge that this restaurant be avoided.

Bad service. We have to walk out of this place right on the spot. Made a reservation a week ago, the host called me 2 hrs prior to my dinner reservation and told me to come at a later time. Apparently there is a big party, and they need to add more tables. I said no, they said they will try to accommodate our need. We walked in, out tables was facing right in front of the door. It was freezing cold, no way anyone can sit down and have a good dinner. This is my first time to try this place, and they screwed up big time. Good Luck staying on business!
