There is always , always a wait here for this restaurant, so if youre party is less than 6 people you cant make reservations. But absolutely worth the wait. There is a default charge for tip on the bill that is 12%. But the service was absolutely amazing. The server was kind to us and took his time to explain the types of meat cuts and checked on us regularly. Max sitting – 2 hours limit, and they do tell you when your last order time is. I would definitely recommend this place and go back myself. By far the best AYCE bbq that Ive had.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but the customer service has really gone downhill since they first opened. I still love this AYCE restaurant and prefer it to Gyu-Kaku though. I recommend going early or during off peak hours, as it can get very busy. They only accept reservations for larger groups. Here are the things that I love about Gyubee that I think makes it stand out above other Japanese/Korean grill restaurants:- I love that they use high quality meats, including Angus beef and antibiotic/hormone-free pork. You can really taste the difference in the natural meat flavour.- I love that the meat is all uniformly cut/sliced. Attention to details have been paid.- I love that most of the meat is NOT marinated or very lightly marinated. It cuts the sodium content which allows you to use the dips. I personally prefer lightly seasoned or unseasoned meats, so this place is perfect for me.- I like that they give you whole popsicles for dessert.- When they first opened, the customer service was phenomenal. They really really cared about how you were cooking the meat. They checked in often and gave advice on how to best cook the meat based on their observations of the meat on your grill to ensure that you had the best experience. The last time I went, we had no guidance, but I will say that our waiter was very good about anticipating our needs without having to be asked (e.g. with providing extra napkins and refilling water).- The enoki mushrooms in butter were awesome.- I would also like to add that I did Not like their bi bim bap or their cabbage salad. So skip the rice dish and save the room in your belly for other menu items. cookingwithalison.com

I saw reviews for Gyubee circulate and decided I needed to pay them a visit. Gyubee specializes in premium cut meats with minimal marinating ingredients as their focus is on quality cut meats, Gyubee is not your everyday AYCE grill house!Situated in the corner of Woodbine and Steeles, Gyubee is nested in a quiet business building. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The grilled meat selection is quite good. There is boneless beef ribs (2 kinds), beef, beef brisket, pork shoulder, shrimp, chicken, sausage and even pork jowl!I was also quite surprised in the vegetable selection they have. That included enoki and agaricus mushrooms! It was not expected and added the adventure conponent to my meal. My favourite was the pork belly as it was crispy and tender at the same time. I enjoyed cooking my meats and sides on the hot grill and felt it was fun and enjoyable. There wasn’t much marinade in their meats so on the side there spice powder and sweet soy sauce for your dipping pleasure! My meal also came with melona bars which was a nice way to end off a grill meal.Although I was quite happy and content with my meal. It didn’t totally wow me. It was slightly bland to me and I found the meat cuts lacked in substance. Overall, I still was happy with my meal but I’m not in a huge hurry to return back to Gyubee. I maybe back again if I happen to be in the area.
