Their butter chicken was amazing! Visited on a friend’s recommendation, was not at all disappointed. The naans were made nice and soft. The service was good too. Overall, good place for authentic Indian food in Toronto.
Experienced poor service when making large orders. I was told the decorative sweet boxes cost 1$ one day. Go to pick up my order for a large quantity of boxes (plus sweets) and was told it was $2.25 extra per box. due to a lack of time and inconvenience it would cause me to skip out on the order I had to accept but am extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency. Would not recommend at all.
Very nice buffet. Good selection of food. All around good not amazing. Fresh naan. Good service. Mostly enjoyed the butter chicken. But then again thats what I went for.
This place is horrible. Firstly, we got ripped off as soon as we walked in the door. There was no pricing as to how much the buffet is listed anywhere. I asked beforehand how much the buffet was and got three different prices. First it was 17.99, the. 19.99, then 21.99. After asking further, they said 17.99. I was so livid after them blatantly trying to rip us off. We stayed because my family insisted, and I was not happy about it. The fact that the food is terrible didn’t help either. for a buffet, it there isn’t a lot of options. The same dishes are repeated and it all tastes the same. I got a few chicken dishes and the meat was almost raw in the middle, so I stuck to veggie options. Minimal dessert choices, so I just had some fruit, watermelon and cantaloupe. Honestly, the worst buffet and restaurant experience I’ve had lately, I do not recommend this place at all. There are way better restaurants in the city for Indian food at a way cheaper price, so I suggest going elsewhere.
We reached there around 11:30 am and our’s was only the 2nd table to be occupied. The wait staff was very polite and courteous in ensuring that we could sit where we wanted to – right in front on 2 massive wall-mounted TVs. However, the restaurant started filling up and was full to the brim by noon.It was on to the buffet then. We had had a wonderful experience at their Brampton location. The ambience and the decor at the Markham location looked much newer and nicer. As usual, there was an enormous selection of appetizers – both veg and non-veg. And being hardcore meat-eaters, we of course gravitated to the non-veg aisle. We liked the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Sheek, Chicken Tikka, Button Mushrooms and Potato Tikki. The Fish Pakora, samosa and pakora were just about passable. The curries were quite nice too with the Daal Makhani, Butter Chicken, Chilli Chicken and Goat Vindaloo being the standouts. Hot and fresh naans were served at the table and the staff were very quick to replenish the naan basket and kept trying to ply us with fresh naans until we told them that we couldn’t have any more. Please try the noodles as well – they are made in a unique indian-style with an achaari taste. The desserts – Carrot Halwa and Gulab Jamoon in particular were superb. We had not liked the rasmalai the last time so avoided it. The basundi looked inviting but we were very full by that time. The kids enjoyed their ice-cream.We ordered a couple of coffees to round off the meal but the coffees were very very disappointing. Please steer clear of them. This place is now officially in our once-a-monthly-visit queue given the taste of the food, the hospitality and bill ($65 for 2 adults + 2 kids with tax and tip).
It’s a pretty good clean place that serves good north Indian food. I guess if you don’t mind the little extra buffet price you will like the place pretty much. Also, they do have a good variety of vegetarian and non-veg food. And the best part is – it’s an all day buffet!
I have been there several times over the past few months. It is an Indian buffet restaurant serving standard Indian faire as well as some other dishes for those Who may not like Indian food. The atmosphere is good and the restaurant is clean. The staff are helpful and the food is fresh and consistent and very reasonably priced. This restaurant was a great find.
