I do enjoy the dim sum, and I do come from time to time BUT the service was just horrible today. We came early (party of 2), and were given the smallest table possible which is fine as they explain it will be busy today. However, when they proceeded to give large tables to same size parties that really got me going…i simply left. Note. It seems the usual servers are not here today but I really am not impressed with the Service. I don’t think I can recommend this place anymore..
I used to come here frequently to have dim sum with my girlfriends. I didn’t come here for a little bit and their menu changed, and food didn’t taste as good. On top of all that, we found a cockroach on one of our plates as we were pretty much finishing up which was honestly one of the worst feelings ever. When my friend told one of the ladies she seemed really upset, didn’t apologise or anything. We asked for the bill and she just removed the one item that the cockroach was in and took 10% off our total. We aren’t the type to throw a huge fit, all I can say is we are never, ever, ever returning here ever again.
Good dim sum. I went here for lunch and ordered the cellophane noodles, bok choy, pan fried dumplings, black bean spare ribs, and steamed bbq pork buns. Everything was good, with the pork buns being a stand-out favourite. The food took a while to arrive, but came out in stages, and everything was hot and seemed freshly made. They also have cool little devices you can use to call the servers, get your bill, etc. My opinion definitely improved on my second visit. It’s good dim sum at a reasonable price — and a good option if you’re already in the neighbourhood.
Great place for Dim Sum with good variety! They offer weekday Dim Sum specials from 9am to 11:30am small, medium & large are all $2.50 ea. On weekends the same sized Dim Sum from 9am to 11am are $2.70 ea. I recommend you go with at least 4 people. This will enable you to try more dishes. There are also special Dim Sum dishes during the peak Dim Sum times if you want a little something different. I really enjoy the sweet beef short ribs, streamed veggies & deep fried milk dishes. I’ve not yet eaten anything bad here.Service is ok. If you’re not used to eating at Chinese restaurants let me caution you…most of them thrive on high turnover. Get you seated quickly, get your order & food on the table as quickly as possible, then get you out to allow for the next customers’ business. As long as you understand this you’ll have a much more enjoyable experience. I usually go for Dim Sum later in the afternoon and have rarely experienced them rushing me out but it does happen from time to time.
Love coming here for their Peking duck.
