I was here on a weekday for lunch. This is a brand new location that opened within the past month. The grand opening flowers are still being displayed. It was a bit of a mystery what they served. It took us a while to ask the waitress and the restaurant manager on how to order. Each table has a stove top element on the surface, our first assumption was that we were at a hotpot restaurant. However, upon further observation it was a just in time stir fry diner. On their order sheet you can either pick four ingredients ($7.99 per ingredient) and a sauce or pick a preformed stir fry (4 predefined ingredients and sauce for $42.99). The caveat is that the server will bring out all these items in containers including their secret sauce. They will then mix the items and sauce in to a pressure cooker and then heat it up on the table stove. I was actually starving and watched her put garlic, onions, fish tofu, bacon, octopus, and veggies in to the pan while it cooked. I was salivating for a good 30 minutes while it cooked. It looked like a huge pot of stir fry so we ate it without ordering any rice. It was tasty and all the items were really fresh. For a party of four, I would definitely add some rice and sides to complete the meal. We could see a few more of these franchise stores open up around the GTA. They have locations worldwide much like another successful franchise Chatime.
