Every Ten Ren’s seems to have different menus. This location is by far my favourite. This location has the best decor, atmosphere and menu (both drinks and food). Theres a great selection of traditional teas as well as the standard bubble teas and fruit teas. I always get the traditional, healthy teas. cookingwithalison.com
Was my go to place for bbt for years. This place was great for a decent quality drink when other places were using powder mixes for bbt. It has seen a price increase over the years , combined with increased completion, I’ve had less incentive to head over to this place. That being said, a decent choice for some bbt or Taiwanese food
The food here is average but the drinks are quite good. I like how you can actually taste the tea in their drinks, as opposed to just milk/juice and sugar. I like their barley milk tea with pudding. The food, on the other hand, is underwhelming, overpriced, and comes in mouse-sized portions. Their meal combos are NOT dinner portions; afternoon tea, perhaps! HOWEVER, one time my friend found a bug in her hot strawberry black tea. That incident definitely made me wary to return again!!
I dropped in with a friend for a drink after dinner. Ten Ren was one of the original bubble tea places from Taiwan to have opened in Toronto. They have locations on street corners as well as the busiest shopping centers around. Not only do they serve hot/cold drinks but also have a retail side selling their brand name tea leaves. I was trying to fight off a beer buzz from earlier so I ordered their Cafe Mocha ($5.79). When it arrived, it was steaming hot in a large mug. The coffee was not that strong which made me think it came in a powder form. My friend’s hot milk tea ($5.79) was fine, she commented that it was really bold tasting. The servers pretty much left us to chat for two hours until we got the bill even though it was busy throughout. Not a bad place to just chill and mingle.
The tea is okey but the service sucks! Never come back again!
Great Tea. Great service, very neat looking place. Lovely varieties of tea and overall enjoyed the experience. I will definitely go back for more!
