Worth the drive to Cayuga. What a wonderful dining experience. The warm greeting from the hostess to the attentive wait staff and the truly exceptional food it was awesome. We will be back!
Amazing cooking classes!. Last night my family and I enjoyed one of the most fun, tasty and enlightening dinners of our lives. We booked one of the cooking classes that the Twisted Lemon has going on all the time. It was so much fun. We did the fish and seafood class which I was alittle hesitant about because I don’t like really fishy stuff, but Chef Dan showed us how to make amazing food, really simple. The best part about it is the atmosphere. You get to sit in a private room that is connected to the kitchen, so as Chef is making everything you get to see every step, and ask any questions that pop in your head. For example, what oil is best to use? why did he use that? where can we buy that? whats in pickling spice? The best part of the 3 hour course is that you get to eat everything he makes. In a nutshell, you get a wonderful fine dining experience with 3 to 5 courses, plus a personal chef making your food, and teaching you how to do it, and modify it to make numerous other things with the techniques.Seriously AMAZING!I will definitely be doing this again! If your not convinced yet, the wait staff, and other cooking staff are hilarious, and a lot of fun. Steve and his moustache, make the most amazing cocktails, or mocktails(depending on whether your driving or not), and is a true mixologist. Its easy to see that everyone that works there loves what they do, and you can taste it in the food.
Fabulous Mother’s Day lunch !! the blood orange spritzer was phenomenal as well as our lunch thank you so much Dan. ( we think you favored us with an extra crepe) the Harley couple . have a good ride tomorrow!.
Wonderful evening. An amazing evening – starting with Mojitos with fresh mint from the sommelier’s garden – then a charred tomato with fresh greens (delicious) – the grilled vegetable salad was stunning with an assortment of local veggies grilled to perfection – main course was the Rack of Lamb – absolutely the best I’ve eaten – French cut lamb stuffed with prosciutto, blue cheese and sun-dried tomatoes – wow – finished off with creme brulee and coffee. Excellent presentation and service – a real treat to be had in a rural community.
AMAZING! Exceptional food,…. AMAZING! Exceptional food, presentation, taste. & service.Everyone in our dining party said the food was delicious. They even made special panko chicken fingers for my niece. I LOVED their appetozer special ..ploughman.s plate.. A lil taste of everything. ..Orgasmic.. The creme brule was the best ever. A very upscale 6 star restaurant without the pretentious attitude! I loved it.
Needs work. Inattentive staff at front door. Wife and I were seated directly in front of the entrance at a table stacked with glasses. We were early for our reservations and it was very busy. Started to notice that people with later reservations than ours were being seated. When I asked why, I received a snippy answer. Pointed out that the parking lot was a death trap due to the ice and the men’s toilet was plugged I received a similar snippy response. Table service was excellent as was the food and drink. I usually order lamb, which they stuff with blue cheese. Didn’t like it this time, the cheese overpowers the rich taste of the meat. Had a bad experience with a waiter the last time we ate there. Spent his time in front of the kitchen chatting up the female staff, ignoring his tables. Hope they get their staff into shape, spending 1/2 hour freezing in front of a door that people hold open does not make for a good dining experience.Parking lot was still a death trap when we left.
Good staff love the atmosphere. We just went for our anniversary it was our second time there and it will be our last. We were looking forward to the pasta and sausage dinner but they added nutmeg and other spices and totally wrecked the meal. My husband managed to eat a little but even the aroma made me sick. They were very accomadating and made me some chicken which was good. So finished with desert and the choc pate was ok but nothing to write home about. And the german cake my husband decided to try was so nasty. I tried it and couldn’t even swallow the taste, it was worse than the main meal
