Disappointing dinner. Forget three times a charm. The first two times we went to Scozia on Sunday at brunch time, the meal and the service was perfect. Our waiter was wonderful, the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, last night April 4th, it was disappointing over and over again. The grilled calamari was not even warm….I sent it back. They grilled new calamari and it was great. Then my rolled pasta with bolognese sauce….not even warm!! I sent it back. This time the kitchen staff delivered it to me, and it was hot. My boyfriend’s seafood linguine was not well-seasoned (salt please!) but he did not want to complain after the other disasters. The manager came over and discussed our dishes with us at length, and offered us dessert, but we were full. I was most disappointed that they could not even offer us the sparkling water for free. No, a $7.00 charge was more important to them than our repeat business. Service recovery is not that difficult, but they are not concerned enough. The kitchen was off last night, and so was our waitress. What a disappointment! She did not even deserve the 10% tip I left her.
