If you love a good roti then you need to pay Matt a visit!!! We are talking about hand made in house roti. That’s right the good stuff right here in Fergus. Matt makes them all mild and then adds his home made hot sauce on your request.
Great hidden gem that everyone needs to try. Everything is made fresh and it comes out in the flavour. The menu is very simple as is the restaurant. But the food 10/10!! I would eat here everyday but it’s closed on weekends.
Found a hidden gem in the heart of Fergus…. Every now and then you hear about a small eatery that’s just opened up with something that nobody else is serving, but word is getting out fast. This is just that place!The chicken roti was awesome, and we’re looking forward to trying the goat and the Jamaican jerk very soon!Thanks for the great lunch, and we’ll be back!Danny, Laurel & Anika.
Best kept SECRET in Fergus/Elora. We’ve eaten at Matt’s Underground Kitchen like a dozen times, always so fresh, always so delicious. His prices are so reasonable, you can grab dinner for (4) for like under $25 bucks !!!! It’s a great take-out spot, lots of parking in the back and they’re so friendly. I love that they take the time to get to know you and are working on your order as you walk in the door. I would HIGHLY recommend the Underground Kitchen to anyone who loves great fresh food, without breaking the bank.Way to go Matt !
Quality and expertise. I have had the wonderful priviledge of being about to taste numerous amazing dishes the cook and owner has provided at other functions in Elora. In my opinion, the dishes looked and tasted stellar and of upmost quality and care in preparation. You could see the love a patience put into every dish. I would suggest you take a look at the Underground Kitchen and decide for yourself but I am highly recommending you visit this new restaurant sooner than later.
Loved it!. Today, we were looking for a quick bite to eat in downtown Fergus, and decided to try out the new Underground Kitchen. We each got a delicious Chicken Roti for only $9, and sat out by the Grand River to eat them. Beautiful view, and wonderful food! The staff is good humoured and ber kind, the colours and decor create a fabulous Carribean space and we’ve heard to dishwashers are incredible… A must try!
WELCOME!. Matt made GF and DF meal options for me that made my day. Great Jerk Chicken and Dirty Rice. Definitely ask for the raisin chutney.
