Just got back from here. Went for some simple dim sum, bang for the buck, excellent taste, everything was piping hot and the service was quite fast. Best dim sum in Ottawa, and I’ve been to most downtown.just be careful debit and cash only.
I love this place. The older lady will remember what you’ve ordered no matter how long ago. I love the beef ribs in black bean sauce served on steamed rice. I believe the price was $10.75 (excluding taxes) which is an excellent deal for the buck. Very quick to greet you and friendly service too. I keep returning as it’s very good. Would recommend. 🙂
This restaurant is my old faithful, the food is great authentic Chinese food, prepared quickly and delivered hot. There is plenty of options to chose from. The atmosphere? Well what you see is what you get. Nothing fancy to look at but fantastic food.
Tasty food, old fashioned early 1960’s- esque decor with unpretentious but effficient service. I have eaten here many times. I enjoy the restaurant for its large menu, authentic dishes and quick service. Ma po do fu is good, bitter melon and beef, congee with shredded pork and preserved egg, pickled mustard greens with beef on rice, noodle dishes aplenty. Its all good. The daily specials (which never change) are reliable and tasty. Do not be frightened by the various organ meats available, they are worth a try. Chinese with a capital C – not the best place for sweet and sour.
Loved it! I was really impressed by the size of the portions and how delicious the food tasted. I will definetely come back!! Please keep in mind that this place is far from aesthetically pleasing.
5 out of 6 dishes. Were pretty good. All from dim sum section. The one that was not – neither identifiable nor sense-making, was the steamed bean curd rolls.
Fresh. Cheap. Delicious. Quick. I’ve been coming to this place too many times over the past few weeks because it is heaven. The dishes are incredibly flavourful, and the serving sizes are GIGANTIC. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I keep meaning to try out new restaurants, but this one lures me in all the time with its affordable and wonderful flavour.
