Family authenticity. Great food, authentic. Bread, pastries, cookies, cake all made on premise. The care and attention that goes into the preparation of their peppers, sundried tomatoes, all made by the ma and pop that own the place. Everything fresh and the staff can’t be any friendlier…. Been a regular stop for me for over 15 years
Food Not That Great. I am a lover of small Italian bakeries however, I feel as though this one missed the boat in terms of food quality. We had come here for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place itself was quite small therefore, it was a bit crowded as people were trying to line-up for the hot counter. We noticed they had a lot of items available to choose from for both lunch and dessert. We settled on a few different items for lunch. These items were veal sandwich, fried fish with chicken, and fried fish with pizza. The items were prepared immediately in front of us, with the lady behind the counter serving us with a smile. When I had ordered the veal sandwich, I was actually surprised that they didn’t ask me if I wanted any cheese on it. As well, they didn’t ask me if I wanted it to be toasted, as some bakeries tend to do. We were not asked if we wanted to warm up any of the dishes, which I found a bit strange as the items had been sitting there for quite a bit. When we obtained our lunch items, we grabbed two drinks (aranciata and limone), along with two egg tarts, and sat down at the tables that were set up for the lunch crowd. The table area was quite small, and not very accommodating however, for the short time that we were there, it was suitable. In total, we spent $33 which we thought was a tad expensive since there weren’t too many food items. The veal sandwich was a bit soggy as there was too much sauce. As well, the piece of veal was very thin, and the bread was not crunchy, it was soft and mushy. The fish was a tad salty, and the pizza wasn’t the best quality pizza out there. We were not too impressed with the food as it wasn’t as good as we’ve had before. Also, since it wasn’t warmed up, it was not enjoyable to eat. I’ve been to other Italian bakeries, as well as Italy therefore, I know the quality of Italian food and this place just didn’t cut it. I may come back to try some of their desserts however for lunch, it wasn’t what I expected it to be.
Very bad place … especially the bread and the food .. everything second choice. I’ll never been to Italy, but surely this bakery is horrible
Very bad customer service!. This place is so close to my house and whenever we go to this place, the ladies serving are so disgustingly rude so we stopped going to this place.
Great food. This is a bakery with a deli and a prepared food counter. There are several tables where you can eat in and have a cappuccino. The food is homemade Italian and we frequently drop by to pick up dinner. The pasta sauce is fantastic.
If the Itallian Sisters bring their MAMA you know it’s good!. I was introduced to this place by 2 of my friends, Italian sisters, who bring their Mama here for lunch from time to time. The food is beyond excellent. My personal favorite is the Veal Parm sandwich, but I also love the stuffed peppers, or stuffed zucchini when they have it. The bread is fresh and the baked goods… the baked goods are terrible! But only because they have not figured out a way to eliminate the calories! HEAVEN… except for the hips! OH! The pizza is wonderful too!
Small but awesome. This place is made to originally sell bakery items. It’s a shop with a mini bar for take out or a quick sit down. The food is great with a small but classic menu. I’ve been there many times over the years. The food is great, I’ve never had a complaint. It’s not a restaurant so don’t expect a big sitting area but it’s a great spot for a quick meal.
