FOOD:We had come here on a Saturday night at around 6:30 pm for a quick dinner. My husband and I had decided to split the Philthy Philly Cheesesteak With Steak ($14.49), along with the Regular Original Poutine ($7.49). We had purchased a Groupon for $9.00, which entitled us to $20.00 worth of food at this establishment therefore, we chose enough times in order to reach $20.00. In terms of the Philly Cheesesteak, I found that it was a bit too soggy, with way too much steak and cheese, making it difficult to actually close the sandwich itself (we had to eat it as an open sandwich, which was quite messy). I also found that the size of the sandwich was on the small side considering the price that we had paid for it. The taste of it was good though, which made us happy as we enjoyed what we were eating. In terms of the Original Poutine, the fries were placed in a large brown box, which had all of the gravy and unmelted cheese curds stuck on the top of the fries themselves. I would have liked if the cheese curds had melted, which would have made the poutine taste more authentic. However, we had to eat the cheese curds as whole pieces, with the gravy much too soggy for my taste. The fries were quite large though, which filled me up pretty quickly. Overall though, I found the price of the items to be much too high, and that was my husband and I sharing both the sandwich and fries. Without sharing the items, we would have paid much more for just a sandwich and fries.ATMOSPHERE:This restaurant was situated near the Clarkson GO Station, in a plaza with many other restaurants and stores. I found that the restaurant was very open (which caused it to feel cold, temperature-wise), with only a small amount of tables and chairs available. Also, the chairs were a bit hard, which made us only want to dine there for a short amount of time. It did feel like a restaurant that would only be for take-out purposes only, which is what most people were doing that particular evening in which we attended.SERVICE:When we had walked to the cashier to place our order, he was very kind and helpful as we asked questions about the food items that we were unsure of. He also clarified the prices of everything before ringing them through. In terms of the individual that placed the toppings on our sandwich, he was very knowledgeable, and gave us time to decide which toppings we had wanted, despite having many sandwiches to make at once. Service was definitely top-notch at this restaurant!COST:1 Philthy Philly Cheesesteak With Steak: $14.49 + 1 Regular Original Poutine: $7.49: $21.98 + Tax = $24.83 (Paid Only $9.00 (Groupon) + $4.83 (Extra Amount) = $13.83 In Total)WOULD YOU RETURN?In all honesty, I found the price of the items to be much too expensive for my liking therefore, would most likely not return.
