The transformation that has happened at Edenvale airport is refreshing to see at a time when a lot of small airports look almost desolate. Fud restaurant has very upscale look with dark leather seating. It looks more like a nice steakhouse than a pub with a wide varied menu including steaks. The food is presented in an appealing manner, however it appears they are trying for an upscale feel but the food seems to lack the passion and quality to match the decor. The pancakes are presented well with whipped cream, strawberry, and powdered sugar, but the maple syup described on the menu is definately not the real thing. The service is friendly but not the level of professionalism you’d come to expect in a better restaurant. I think they’re trying hard but would benefit from eating at the Keg for steak and Cora’s for breakfast to understand what quality, presentation and service are all about. I’ve eaten there twice and left with the same impression each time.
