Burgers. Don’t order the burger. They call it gourmet but it’s more like meatloaf on bread. When you don’t eat something on your plate they don’t care enough to ask why they just bring the bill and don’t care. Nice

EGGS BENNY. Best Veggie Eggs Benedict I have ever had, hands down! And served until 3pm, can’t beat that. From friends and family I heard that the vegetarian burger is amazing and of course home made. I haven’t had a meat dish as I am a veggie, I presume the same care goes into them as it does the vegetarian dishes. Its a mush try.

It was gross. Didn’t have very high expectations, but expected the food to be edible at minimum. Ordered the quesadilla which had the weird blended, reconstituted, moulded chicken breast that was unseasoned and bland. The quesadilla had walnuts in it, but mostly a lot of cheddar…too much cheddar. Also tried the vegetarian tartine, which on the menu, was brought back due to popular demand. It was very bad. The first bite I had was decent, but I quickly learned it was because I only ate the crust of the toast that was not drowning in aioli. The rest of the tartine comprised of aioli with 6 small slices of mini portabello mushroom, barely there roasted red pepper and spring mix that was soo drenched in aioli I couldn’t eat it. Also, there were clumps of nasty cheese that looked days old. I barely ate it…just picked out mushroom slices and tried to wipe the aioli off. The dish should be described as toast with mayo, not what it is currently written on the menu. While the more traditional breakfast looked decent, you could grab something better at McDonald’s. The fries were also stale tasting, soggy and clumped together. Nothing that was served to us seemed fresh…Maybe freshly warmed up. In terms of service, it was ok. The waitress got our order wrong and ended up not bringing some of the food ordered despite using an iPad to take orders (assuming it connects with the cafe ordering system); but that was probably a huge blessing since the food sucked. In conclusion, eat here only if you like bad food.

The restaurant was clean. The waitress wasn’t overly friendly with us, but more so with people she seemed to know. We had one of the big breakfasts listed on the menu. Although you got plenty of food I didn’t think it had any special draw! I wanted REAL maple syrup with my pancakes – which did have a nice taste. But I was a little put out because the maple syrup cost over $3.00 for a little creamer jug! Over all we found it way over priced for what you get! I’ve eaten in greasy diners that are better priced and the the food was better tasting. All in all very disappointing!

Soul-warming food/people. Just had dinner there and was happy with my ‘vegetarian’ mac and cheese. The carrot squash soup was awesome. The server mentioned they don’t add a lot of salt because they have a plethora of seniors. I was happy to hear that as I am on a low sodium diet as well. Without piles of salt you could really taste the other spices, it was so comforting. I have no issue with the price (I’m used to it living in the city, O-town, but the price didn’t really match the ambiance: cafeteria chairs, no table clothes etc.). Would definitely go there again if in Cobourg. Friendly staff!
