Had the calamari to start, onion soup and pulled pork penne. Amazing! Lots of flavor and good sized portions. Finished with tart ufo and creme Brule- GREAT MEAL – EXCELLENT SERVICE. A little pricier but worth it!
It missed the marc. Nice ambiance and good, attentive service but the food is nothing to write home to mamma about. This is a far cry from the true flavours of Italian food. I ordered the Vitello alla Parmigiana and my husband had the Spaghettini con Polpette. My veal was tough, too thick, and dry, with very little tomato sauce and very heavy on the pepper. In fact the pepper was so heavy on all my dish (including the vegetables) that it was the only thing I could taste. My husbands dish was equally disappointing. The meatballs were tough and had no flavour to them. They tasted like cooked meat rolled into a ball and served on a plate. The tomato sauce was not bad and so abundant that it was hard to find the noodles, but came in handy because I was able to use his extra sauce to help give my veal some flavour.I was born in Italy and grew up heavily surrounded by the Italian culture and was so pleased to see an Italian restaurant come to my city. But unfortunately, I will not be attending this restaurant or recommending it in the future.
