DISGUSTING and APPALLING! …. DISGUSTING and APPALLING! 3 of us, 3 different appetizers 3 different entrees . Nothing good to say. Tasted and smelled like it was plucked from the garbage .Not one of us finished anything and we all left hungry and feeling ripped off.I did speak up when asked if everything was ok, and said no, it was really not good. The lobster poutine was deducted from the bill.Gross. Will never return.
Excellent food. Dined here for a family dinner, only once so far, but I have heard such good things. I am so glad to say I wasn’t in the least disappointed. There were 4 of us. We all loved, and cleaned our plates. Service was flawless. Started with the panko crusted brie bites, which were good, but then add the red pepper jelly, awesome! I personally enjoyed the butternut squash Agnolotti (sp); which I have never had before and it was just great. Then I finished it with a first for me, sweet potato pecan pie. Now there were too many pecans for me, so I gave some away to the rest of my table, but that is just my pickyness, the actual pie was great, and I would get again. This place is a must try, I can’t wait to go back.
House tour weekend. We have been coming to the Port Hope house tour for some 20 years. We have dined at the Oasis for at least half of these trips. We are going back again this – 2013. It must be working well!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant! This was my second time – after the first experience I invited my entire family for a day out in Cobourg. There were 14 of us who came down from Mississauga – not only was the seating ready at the patio (as requested), they had arranged a backup in case it started raining – which it did and we were swiftly moved. Not an easy task with 14 ppl. The food was terrific- special mention to lobster poutine, clam chowder, Greek burger, BBQ chicken pizza, pina colada smoothie, and steak (cooked per specification), ans Mediterranean pasta. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. We even had two birthdays which were celebrated with drums! Cannot recommend it highly enough 🙂
We wanted a nice night out and decided to go to The Oasis bar and grill. We walked in and immediately heard some of the staff fighting like fists were going to fly really soon. We sat down at the table we were directed to, and found we couldnt read the menu because the lights were out above us. We decided to move outside to the patio. We were told they were out of pasta and pizza so we ordered 2 steak dinners. About 10 mins later the waitress brought our drinks and informed us they were out of steak too. We looked at the menu again while sipping our drinks. The drinks were so terrible that we just decided to leave. The gingerale i had was so flat i could not drink more than 2 sips. I told the waitress the gingerale was flat and she actually ASKED me if I would like her to take it off the bill. I said no and gave her exact change then left.Not a good experience at all. Never going back there.
Good Food and Good Service. We have been to the Oasis more then a dozen times since happening upon it while house hunting in 2011 and moving to this quaint town in 2012. Friendly atmosphere, good food. Friendly staff!Portions IMO are just right.Only criticism I have; if you like quiet avoid the patio during entertainment evenings.
