Had lunch here recently for the first time in a while. I have no problems spending a little more for lunch on occasion but $18 for a lunch schnitzel? + coffee + HST + tip and you’re looking at $25+ Now I know why the place was pretty much empty, which is a shame because the food IS good. Won’t be going back – if $18 is too much I sure won’t be paying $22 for a dinner schnitzel.
The Matterhorn Restaurant has been open under new ownership since the middle of May 2014 !!!!. Never mind the food chains – give this restaurant a try! The service is great and the food quality is excellent – in terms of taste and portion size. Authenticity is the trick and the chef and new owners have mastered it well.
