Sitting here in the caf feeling the subtle whiplash of surliness from the barista (female, red hair, mole on cheek) who did her best to make my husband and I feel unwelcome and bothersome. They only serve coffee in glasses, a horrible choice that is a clumsy and trying-too-hard way to serve any hot beverage. We asked for our coffees to be served in actual cups, which she didn’t get. The egg & ham panini is pretty tasty, the coffee is good, so we’ll come back most likely but, dude! Good service shouldn’t be a privilege. Especially when you hand me a debit machine asking for a tip.
The hipster vibe is strong at this independent coffee shop, but that’s exactly what works well, given it’s more authentic to have this type of atmosphere in this part of Ontario. Prices are comparable to the big city though. Even if it’s not a typical springtime recipe, the Harvest Squash Loaf was a winner.
Cute little spot. Very cozy! I had a small latte, my partner had a large cappuccino with almond milk, and we shared a peanut butter cookie. All delicious! Fast and friendly service.
Personal service everytime. Staff are to good, well trained and friendly Drinks are expensive but that was expected when they are made to order with care and high end product.Place is cool inside with old skis and collingwood art.
Spending afternoon wandering around Collingwood with daughter. Hunger calls as we find ourselves standing in front of Espresso Post. The food here is amazing. Light lunch fare. We had the Veggie Wrap and the Turkey Pannini. Nothing plain about these sandwiches. Brie, cranberries, curried veggies, goat cheese…. Just to name a few ingredients. Served warm and with a smile. Cafe choices are endless. Small, bistro style cafe. Gets a 5 star rating from me. Check it out the next time you’re in Collingwood. A ton of tasty baked goods as well!!!!
