I was at the Harbour Street Fish Bar a couple of weeks ago while on a short holiday with my boyfriend. I have now settled in at home, and I catch myself still thinking about my experience with this restaurant. I have always been interested in opening a restaurant myself, and surely would change quite a bit about this one. Although the food was overall pretty good, (when it finally arrived), I heard screaming coming from the kitchen….. So unprofessional!!! It appeared there was no team work involved. The waitresses, although trying very hard to rectify the long waits….. seemed quite nervous themselves . I actually felt sorry for them. So, when we finally finished, we made sure we tipped our pretty accommodating waitress well !!
I have eaten a lot of F&C. And this is just about the best it gets. I came here just for the halibut and it was well worth it. The only way to describe it is you don’t leave feeling like you just crushed fish and chips and not are forced to live the rest of your night with a bloat that tests the strength of your pants buttons. Instead of feel great, not super oily, not too much batter, not undercooked. Just great.
