Excellent meal. Different food. Better quality. Friendly. No complaints. Would go back in a heartbeat. Wish we had something this good in London (Toboggan can only wish)!
Great dinner experience. Interesting beers, varied menu. Enjoyed the wings, bison tostada, tuna lettuce wraps and sticky toffee pudding. Beer flights good and reasonably priced.
For hops lovers, this is the place for you. The beer brewed on-site is very hoppy. Not to my taste, but the food definitely is – we had the House Smoked Cheddar Burger and OMG… probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The Wagyu beef was ground and seasoned perfectly and the patty not too big, not too small. Paired with the smoky gouda cheese, the usual fixings and the special beer aioli, it’s succulent, tasty and just enough to satisfy your hunger. Paired with freshly cut French Fries with a house-made lemon aioli and ketchup, they are the perfect accompaniment. Portion sizes are generous. They don’t skimp on the fries! The waitstaff is friendly and quick. The restaurant and seating are comfortable and casual. Great spot for lunch or dinner in Collingwood. A must-visit for beer lovers. suburbantourist.ca
We walked out….. We were scheduled for a beer tasting which was booked Feb 12 for March 7th. 8 of us show up and mentioned that we had reservations … the hostess was perplexed and sat us anyway. We sat for 10 minutes before anyone came over to our table at which point our server once again asked us what we wanted. Once again we stated we were there for a beer tasting at which point she said that they don’t do them. We showed her the email conformation we had from Jay Machel…she read it and ask us to wait for a moment while she spoke to management. While waiting they brought us drinking glasses which reeked of bleech to the point that none of us could drink from them. A few minutes later, Jay showed up and he looked clueless, he stated again that they don’t do beer sampling even though we had an email from him clearly indicating that they do. No apologies, or attempt to make amends….Needless to say our group walked out….
Were we invisible?. Just walked in with a reservation anticipating a wonderful experience with friends. Sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Finally got water from a bus girl. The glasses smelled so bad, I dreaded drinking a beer from one.Moot point because nobody ever came to the table and we decided to leave. The irony is that our group as a whole is friendly, easy to please and generally never complain. LOL
Cold food, bad service, over priced and small poritons. The portions are very small and so far the food really hasn’t been very good (I’ve only been twice thought).Everyone’s food at my table was cold and the server really didn’t seem to care about it when we told her.In general it’s overpriced and I likely won’t go back. Has potential though if they manage to turn the food around. For anyone who said the wings are good: go down the street to Beaver and Bulldogs for good wings. The wings I had at Northwinds were pretty disgusting actually.
Four of us had the Waygu burger…best burger I have ever eaten……
