Nice Place To Dine. We’ve been to Rockdell Steakhouse a few times and have always enjoyed it. Their homemade soup is awesome! We have only ordered the surf & turf but I’ve been told that their liver & onions is fantastic and one poster here has confirmed that so I just might try it.One caution . . . if you’re ordering steak you should order it cooked one step above how you like it, i.e. if you like your steak medium order it medium well as they tend to under-cook steak. A number of times I’ve been turned off by viewing blood in my plate. While unsightly, the steak was very tasty.The atmosphere is very nice, it’s a great place to dine with a couple or more. I’d return, keeping in mind their under-cooking of steak.
My husband and I ate at rockdell tonight. Yummy!!!! We both had the special. Soup, salad, steak, shrimp, mushroom, carrots, baked potatoe coffee and dessert! For $20. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We will defiantly be back.
We heard rave reviews about this place and have it a try! NEVER going back! The food was horrible and obviously thrown together by somebody who was not a chef. Bad bad bad!
Liver and Onions. Probably one of the only places where you can order Liver & Onions and have it melt in your mouth.My parents used to make it and I thought that I’d take a stab at it when I saw it on the menu. It was awesome.I can’t wait to go back but my wife is a vegetarian and I’m not sure what she’d think of it.5 stars, great service, awesome food. Worth every penny.
Atmosphere and food. I would like to say that my husband and I will be back! The restaurant was small and busy but that made the atmoosphere so nice and home like. It made me feel like I was attending a family dinner rather than a restaurant.The food….cannot say anything bad. It was good old fashioned portions (lots) and delicious! Staff was welcoming and it was nice that the young girl that served us did not hover every 5 minutes asking if everything was fine. We were there celebrating our friends new home they purchased and we had a lovely time.Thank youEva and Dave
What’s the big deal. I have eaten at steak houses quite often and went to the Rockdell because of all the great reviews I have heard about it. Believe me….once was enough!! QUANTITY not QUALLITY is the only way to describe our experience.
Porterhouse is superb. Quantity and quality are second to none!
