Amazing food! Great date night!. We were visiting Collingwood for the weekend and before making the trip I did some research online in the hopes of finding a restaurant I could eat at. I have food sensitivities to gluten, dairy and corn so it is rare for me to be able to eat out. I sent an email to The Huron Club and was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call the next day from the chef Jesse. He said that of course they could cater to my allergies, as long as I gave them notice so that he could have time to come up with a suitable menu for me. We were so impressed with his phone call and willingness to cater to my needs, that we reserved a table with them. We were totally blown away by the food, the friendliness of the staff and the cozy atmosphere of the place. Our waiter Cam was awesome and super friendly, funny, polite and professional. The food that Jesse prepared for me was to die for, probably the best I have ever eaten and I enjoyed every bite. He even custom made me apple sorbet for dessert! My husband chose the hangar steak off the menu and he enjoyed it thoroughly. I also had the hangar steak (with a few tweaks) and it was incredible. Best steak I’ve ever had. Jesse totally outdid himself and I am so so thankful for his hard work at making me food that I could eat. It is so rare for me to be able to eat out and I appreciated his willingness to accommodate me. The Huron Club is definitely somewhere that we plan on returning to if we are ever in Collingwood again. A huge thank you to Jesse and Cam for making our night out a memorable one!
Just had late dinner here on a Saturday night. Live jazz music, my daughter loved it and she went to sit at a table right in front of the band as it wasn’t very busy.We had mussels and Cesar salad to start. The Thai flavoured mussels were good, wish there were a little more sauce to dip our garlic bread in. My husband thought it was the best Caesar salad ever tasted.I order their feature steak $30, it was worth every penny! Husband had grilled pickerel with risotto. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Seems like we always come here very time we visit blue mountain.
Loved my meal at Huron Club today-I travel the world-Collingwood is home. Huron is world class on our back yard.great food and value and nice people..next time I will treat my friends..
Awesome lunch!!. Today, a friend and I had lunch at the Huron Club. We both had the burger and was it ever good! Who thinks of putting an onion ring in a burger? The texture and taste complimented the burger in such a unique way. Definitely a homemade burger too. The menu is not overwhelming or confusing, the food presented and plated in the same manner. They have also catered for us in the past and that too was a great experience.
Never Again!. As I am local and never been there, I thought I would try as I had company coming up from the city and they actually suggested it. We were told we should have made reservations, yes maybe we should have but we were told 1/2hr 1hr later then we are finally seated!Then 20mins go by and no one!!! Finally a server shows up and asks are we ready to order we ask about specials and they reply give me a minute! They comes back and tells us but informs us they are out of two of them! Why tells us then! This has not been a very good experience over all! Food was cold,late and looked like it was slapped together with no care what so ever! We were very deeply disappointed! My guests were very upset as they suggested this spot! I just chuck this up as a place never to eat at and NEVER suggest to anyone!Thanks for nothing Anne!
Food is Always Good But………. The service is hit and miss.Have had great service there but have also had some of the worst ever.Was there for dinner the other night with my wife and another couple. We ordered cocktails which took at least 20 minutes to arrive. At that point we ordered our dinner. Appetizers / salads again took forever to arrive. At this point we ordered wine to go with dinner. We were appalled when they showed up a few minutes later with our entrees and two of us were still eating our salads! They stood there and waited while our friends rushed to finish there salad! Talk about uncomfortable. Entrees were served and wine didn’t arrive until we were just about finished eating!The server was very friendly but incompetent. We wondered if this was her first day on the job. We laughed about the situation and didn’t make a big deal about it but some people would have been really put off.I frequent this restaurant often especially for business lunches as the food is always great, prices reasonable and atmosphere very good. Service is almost always great at lunch but very hit and miss at night.All that being said I will definitely be back again at night…..just warning others in case this would be a deal breaker for them.
