We stopped in for a few drinks. The staff know us well as we have spent thousands of dollars there over the years. This being a Wednesday, it was Cabbage Roll night. (the nightly special) We asked Derek for a description of the meal. He said it was two cabbage rolls and some veggies. The dish came. It was one small cabbage roll. we asked Derek why not two? He said I guess they are making them bigger. The bill came and the one lonely cabbage roll was $16. Thats rught $16 for one cabbage roll. I complained to the manager, I dont know her name, blond girl with an accent. She stood there with a stunned look on her face, all she could say was, ‘did you like it?’. It was good but it was sampler size. I reminded her of the money I had spent there over the years, and again with the same stunned look she just walked away. No communication between staff, no knowledge of the specials and WAY over priced. I told her I would never order a meal there again, and again no response. The bar server, Derek said ‘ Hey, I just work here’. The evening staff has no professionalism and lack of commitment to their establishment. The owner was no where in sight. Also the manager made no offer of compensation. Hey Collingwood if I wanted Toronto prices I would have stayed in Toronto. Two thumbs down for the Huron Club.
