I found the food here to be dreadful. I will never eat here again or recommend this restaurant.The beef barley soup had no beef or barley but must have been made from a cube as it was really salty. The salad was equally bad. The worst place I have ever had the misfortune to eat at.

Ate breakfast there today and it never disappoints. Bacon was cooked to perfection, egg up was exactly the way it should be. Toast on the other hand could have been toasted more, it was really warmed bread. Breakfast for Two under $20 you can’t go wrong.
DELICIOUS. I love the old red hen. So delicious!!!! I clear my plate every time and that’s hard because of the large portions they provide. So good!! 🙂 My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it.
Excellent. A couple friends and I ate at the Old Red Hen Restaurant after a spa weekend, we absolutely loved it! A great end to a great weekend! The service was fast, surprising due to how busy they were.I had one egg with peameal, the peameal was so tender, my knife glided through it, I ordered my egg over hard and most restaurants end up over cooking the egg turning it into a flat piece of rubber, not the Old Red Hen! My egg was so fluffy and cooked perfectly inside! And the potatoes! Normally I do not enjoy potatoes cooked this way, I usually like homefries that are deepfried and crispy but the seasoning used on these potatoes was excellent! This was absolutely the best breakfast experience I have had in a restaurant! I live about an hour away from Collingwood and will be looking for any excuse to come here for breakfast in the future! Thank you!
