  If you enjoy airline quality meat thats been overcooked and almost tasteless, this is the place for you! The restaurant was virtually empty and theres a good reason for this. The appetizers were only OK but we were ready to give them a pass on the apps. But the steak! I love steak and have been going to traditional steakhouses for 45 years. I think Ive left a steak unfinished perhaps twice including our visit to this restaurant.Id ordered a rare steak. It arrived at best, medium rare. Indeed, I needed to take a quick gulp of water after taking a 1st bite just so I wouldnt choke on the dry meat. I decided I just had to return the steak and showed the waiter that the meat was definitely not rare. However, he asked me to cut into the middle of the steak, something I found quite odd. It still looked overcooked to me and he took the steak back. A minute later the chef/owner appeared with my original steak CUT IN HALF! He pointed out to me that the steak was indeed rare and had a cold centre (it didnt), and if any rarer he told me that the whole steak would be raw. Really? To make matters worse he displayed an aggressive demeanour and I know hed have taken the steak back if Id had held my ground, but I decided that it wasnt worthwhile and that for all intents and purposes the meal experience had been ruined at that point. As any good restauranteur would know, even if I was wrong about the lack of rareness of the steak (and I most certainly was not), there should have been no argument whatsoever and a better prepared steak should have been delivered. I could say more, but you get the message. I will never return and I would never recommend this restaurant.

  Great food, service and affordable prices. Been a customer of Bills Pit for over 25 years and it still serves top quality food. Service and food is always fantastic and never have had any issues. Every family and friend I have sent have given me the same great feedback. The Staff is very welcoming and always happy to serve you. Cant wait for my next visit, which will be soon for sure!

  It is sad that this once ok never great steak house has goneto the bottom of the pile. The newest of their many different locations overthe years is in a difficult spot to find in Thornhill and the plaza like therestaurant is low end. The owners have been at this for a long time and are nowjust so tired so they do not care. The food has gone downhill, only the pricesare still high. Due to their lack of sales everything is on a budget, the food,the service, the sides, etc. Imagine a family steak house that is closed on Sunday.Imagine the side of pickles and salad that come with the meal reduced to a sizeso small that it looks strange in the dish. Imagine the meat the heart of thissteak house now low end chewy and gross. It is too bad that the owners let thisplace slide to the bottom of the pile. Now also imagine that the owners are downrightnasty rude. Never a please, no thank you, not even good bye when you make areservation, they just hang up. Then if you arrive around opening time, goodluck as you wait for someone to show up, no apologies just eventually the dooropens and the long wait for service begins.

  Bill’s Pit consistanly serves great food. We have been Bill’s Pit customers for years but through their two moves over the years had lost track of where they were. Last weekend we went to the new location in Vaughan and were pleasantly surprised for many reasons. First of all was to find that Bill’s Pit has the same owner as has been for the last almost 20 years or so. The decorations are modern and comfortable. The service was professional and caring. Our steaks and ribs were excellent. There were many new items on the list that we want to try on return visits. There was a very nice wine list to choose from as well. If you are one who likes good steaks, seafood, ribs and pasta you got to eat here. There is good value at Bill’s Pit.

  Absolutely Incredible. Its amazing how people in most cases only write reviews when they have had a bad experience, how about all those other amazing customers such as myself who had great experiences. I live very close to the new Bills Pit on Hwy 7 and each one of my visits have been amazing. From the first time trying Bills Pit almost two years ago I chose to go to Bills Pit for all special events in my family, because honestly for the food and service you receive the prices are worth it. Ive brought many different types of guests from out of town to this restaurant and each one of them have had a great experience. The welcoming of free fresh garlic bread served with pickled red peppers, pickles and olives start your warm night only to get better once your delicious appetizers and main courses arrive, always served extra hot, fresh off the grill. The staff is also really welcoming and works hard in order for you to have a great evening. I suggest you try Bills Pit for a great night out with family and friends.

  Rude customer service. Had reservations for Valentines Day Dinner but had to cancel due to wife being sick. Called in before noon to inform them that I had to cancel reservation. The person on the phone was not too friendly to say the least, saying that they had to turn away other customers because of my reservation! At least I had the courtesy to call in advance to cancel. I could of just pulled a no show. With customer service like that, I will never consider dining there.
