Such a great find ! I pass this restaurant almost everyday and never paid mind to it just because of the location. However, after eating here , I learned that it’s very underrated. From appetizer to desert, everything was great! It’s risky trying steak somewhere new but I’m glad I did. The steak and frites; it had a distinct taste that would let any steak enthusiast know that it has not been frozen ! I would definitely eat here again and recommend it.
Nice place, good food. We went to Gourmet Bistro for Savour York Region dinner. Very nice experience. The service was great, I would say one of the best. We had fried calamari and lobster bisque as a starter. Both were amazing. For the main course we had seafood with salmon and lamb chops. Seafood was delicious, but lamb chops were a little tender to my taste. For desert we had brownies with ice cream. Not the best I had, but they were good. Overall I would recommend this place to others and come back again. They have amazing patio.
Food wasn’t very tasty. Nothing special about this place and for what we got it was over priced. Ordered the seafood linguine and chicken burger. Service was okay. Won’t go back considering better choices in the area.
Well…one thing spoiled the delight.. The mushroom soup was very good! A bit spicy but thats a good thing. The water was fine too…why nobody has pepsi max? or cola zero??? ah??? only diet… :)The place was clean and cozy. Like. Now comes the bad part…I’m not mean…really..i’m not!But the simple task of preparing chicken wings took 40 minutes…the result was DRY. VERY DRY… shall i repeat it? again? The waitresses were busy to collect plates from our table…it’s ruuuuuuude!!! especially when there is food on the plates. I felt like on battlefield and i had to finish my food before the next bombing… its seems like they urged us to leave. They did it to all the customers. I actually had to take things into my own hands and ask her to leave my plate alone…both of them…well. Oh. The pasta was delicious!!!
First time here, food was great! Tender and moist Lamb Burger, super fresh spinach salad and best of all the fresh baked house bread. Everything was perfect. The only negative is that the parking lot is small and crowded. Looking outward to coming back on happy hour.
Delicious and Nutritious. I heard about this place through a friend who spoke highly about G Bistro and thought I’d give it a try. I dine out a lot in the city so my expectations were high. Needless to say, they went above and beyond the call of duty! First off, the atmosphere was nice and warm and the service was even better. The server suggested the Calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious! Not chewy at all like calamari tends to be, but instead it was soft and succulent – really tasty. I ordered a Canuck Burger (BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese) for my main, since I heard they make their burgers in house with AAA prime beef and you could really taste the difference! The servers were attentive to my needs and just when I needed more chipotle mayo for my sweet potato fries, they were at my beck in call. My partner ordered the Steak Feature and loved it! The daily features were a great addition to the menu as well. I also enjoyed how they carry Mill St. and Steam Whistle on tap, my two fav independent brewers. It was my first experience at G Bistro and certainly not the last. Who needs to drive downtown when there’s a hidden gem locally?! Best kept secret in town..
I found this place to be terrible , it tries to be trendy and cool but it is neither, the food is over priced and mediocre, I had a $23 , 8oz steak that tasted like leather, and everything was over fried, the place was boring and very plain, will never go back , don’t waste your time , much better restaurants around. 0 stars at best. Thumbs down .
