I’d reccommend it. So far best rice and curry chicken I’ve had in Canada.Haven’t had a chance to try other things yet but I’ve heard good things about everything else as wellDecent price, get enough food, and the service is usually pretty good

Watch your bill. The food is pretty good. The lady who owns the restaurant seems nice. Other times I have gone in the clerk tries to nickel and dime you. She charges extra for hot sauce and also charges if you use debit. Price always seems to change!

Huge Portions, Good Taste, Slight Improvement Needed. I ordered a chicken roti and a paratha (buss up shot) roti. The chicken roti was HUGE- a little too big and messy. As an improvement, I would suggest they offer small size as an option for rotis. The flavour was good, but the taste and texture of the chicken made me wonder if they had re-heated in the microwave. The roti shell was a little too dry for my liking, and way too much ground split peas leaking out of the shell. The paratha roti (buss up shot) was good but also tasted like i may have been microwaved. When i first began eating Trinidadian food, my friend recommended places that specifically had an open kitchen concept, so that you can see the staff preparing the shells and curries right in front of you (ease of mind). This restaurant has a closed kitchen and I did notice there was a pile of metal trays/bowls that were dirty and stacked up on the counter beside someone preparing food- I am sure that it was ok, however it does not instill much faith in the freshness of ingredients and dishes.Overall, it was definitely good and I would eat there again- however, not as my first choice. In the west end when you are competing with places like Drupati’s and Roti Roti at Islington/Albion (both open concept and cooking in front of the client), roti shops need to step it up if they want a loyal clientele. I wish them the best and hope to see improved options for the future.

I must admit the doubles was really good along with the potato and spinach I had wit my paratha but the paratha was microwaved , it was hard and flakey . I could not eat it . I will return only for doubles .
