Tough tongue!. Terrible and over priced. The tongue was tough and rubbery. They did ‘re-cook’ it but it lacked flavour. I could barely finish my meal it was so unappetizing. Best to avoid.
The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food was great. It was my first time to ever try Colombian food and I really enjoyed the taste. I tried several starters, especially I liked cheese sticks. Also I tried a few main course dishes because I visited this restaurant for a few times. I would say beef tongue dish is my favorite but all the other dishes I tried were excellent. Deserts were delicious as well. My favorite so far is something which translates as ‘three milks’. It is very creamy and soft. I was also in this restaurant for their salsa Friday. It was a lot of fun with great music and dancing. I would definitely recommend this place!
JUST STAY AWAY. Perhaps others have had a better experience than me, but for the money paid, the service was slow even though nobody was there. The food seemed basic and frankly I would not return. I can think of 1000 places I’d rather have lunch at.
Horrible service. We were the only customers in the restaurant and the food took about 45 mins. The server was slow and clumsy. Our drinks took about 15 mins to arrive. I’ve been there a couple times and the service continues to be very poor! Hope the owner changes things around
Service Was Amazing! Food Not My Taste. We came here as we had a LivingSocial coupon that we wanted to use; we were able to get $30 worth of food for $15. When we walked in, we were kindly greeted by the owner, whose name was Alonso. We chose a booth and were given menus by Alonso. Alonso mentioned that he was short-staffed because his waitress had called in sick, he was very apologetic and we definitely empathized with him about it. We weren’t too sure about some of the food items therefore, Alonso was very patient and explained to us what the food items were and what they were made of. We decided to settle on the corn tortilla to start. We waited about 10 minutes, then Alonso came over to let us know that it had unfortunately burnt, and that he would be making us another one. We completely understood and waited another ten minutes for the item to be made. When the item arrived, it had four pieces of fresh cheese on it which were good however, the corn tortilla itself wasn’t too delicious; it was very dry and cold. We then waited for our main dishes to come, which came about fifteen minutes after we finished the appetizer. I had ordered the plantains, and the items which looked like french fries (I apologize that I am not sure of the name for it). I also ordered the veal to go with it. The plantains were actually quite good, except they were cold. The items which looked like french fries were also good except, once again, they were cold. The veal however wasn’t very good; it was very tough and dry. Alonso had provided a few different sauces to try with the veal, which were all quite good however, the veal was difficult to chew. I had mentioned the veal being tough to Alonso; he said that it is typically cooked well-done as a cultural tradition. I completely understand that, and I respect that, I guess it just isn’t what I liked. After the main meal, Alonso asked us if we wanted dessert; we weren’t sure what we wanted therefore, Alonso brought us a chocolate cake with flan on it. It was okay, but I was hoping for something more authentic. In total, our bill came out to $33 for the two of us, which was actually good considering we had the coupon.I want to stress that Alonso is one of the best individuals that I have ever encountered in the restaurant business; he was kind, patient, considerate, and above all else, polite. The dcor of his restaurant, along with the atmosphere was AMAZING! Nice music playing in the background, along with the interesting art on the wall, and the soccer game showing on the televisions made it feel as though we were actually in a different country, it was great! I would HIGHLY recommend that you all try this food, it may be your style. I feel sad to say that unfortunately, the food just didn’t satisfy my palate, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t satisfy yours. Trust me, if you try this place, you won’t be disappointed. Alonso has my deepest respect and I wish him well in the future, this place will surely be a hit!
Great food amazing people! After trying to find a good Colombian restaurant in Mississauga we came here. We had a Bandeja Paisa &a mini version for my 4 year old daughter- she enjoyed it. I had the Barriguita and it was amazing! the portions are beyond generous so pack an appetite! They where so nice and catered to my 18 month old – they brought a mini Mondongo and he ate it all! Again amazing food + amazing people. Highly recommend!!
This place actually has the traditional colombian ground meat in the Bandeja Paisa!! that’s how my aunt used to make it back in Colombia.Definitely worth the drive.
