Been here a few times after they opened! I somehow still prefer the old one on St. Jospeh. The burgers here are one of the best I’ve tried in Ottawa. Their buns are incredible and the bacon here is unique and a must have! I didn’t like their poutine it was too heavy! Their fish tacos are one of kind and they are known for them! Ordered them twice and loved it each time! Definitely recommend this place.
Honestly I expected it to be a notch above but it was good (not excellent). The place was quite packed on Saturday and the service was therefore below average. Took a while for us to get noticed when we got in, waited around 5 minutes for acknowledgement while sitting at the bar and waiter gave me wrong information about one of the meals. The food was otherwise ok. The strawberry mojito was very good, the cod cakes were somewhat bland (expected a tastier side mayo) and the burger was quite good but, again, not off the chart. Prices are decent.
Fantastic food! The best tacos I have had in a long time. The sauces were amazing- tacos and chips. Oh and the donut. Freshly made delicious!!! I agree with the comments of the atmosphere. Also, the dust on the old teppanyaki wasn’t really appealing.
I was very excited to try the OCCO restaurant because I am a fan of their St-Joseph location. I ordered the eggplant parm burger and it was delicious. However, the poutine’s gravy was way too salty. Overall, pretty satisfied but not sure I’d go back.
My favorite dinning spot in Orleans. The food is always fresh and there are so many great choices thats it usually takes me a while to decide what I want. They have the best fish and chips and fish tacos in the city and they have a great selection mixed drinks as well. If you’re in the Orleans area, I highly recommend this place.
Went in for supper last week and ordered the craft beer battered cod and seafood chowder. The seafood chowder was a bit thin and didn’t have a lot of seafood in it but it did taste very good. The cod on the other hand was probably the worse battered fish I have ever eaten and that includes highliner boxed fish. It was so greasy that when I pressed on it with my fork grease poured out of it. The taste of grease overpowered the flavour of the cod. The sauce that was on the side was a very salty mayo I guess.traditioal tartar sauce would have been much better.. I may go back and try something else on the menu because I won’t write off the restaurant because of one bad dish. The low rating is simply for the dish I ordered. If next time it’s better, I will comment appropriately.
I was happy with my first visit (to the sit down restaurant on Innes). The menu had many small items so that you could sample a little bit of everything. They’ve since removed the sliders which was disappointing, they were the perfect size for kids and for someone not wanting a massive burger. (Please put them back on the restaurant menu)Also, the last two times i went, I found the staff that welcomes you to be unfriendly and not overly helpful. And the long wait to be served and get your meal, gets really annoying (I waited 10 minutes for my server to take my drink order). Perhaps too many tables and not enough servers? On a positive note, the poutine, fish taco, and seafood chowder are AMAZING.
