This place was awesome! They were so accommodating for our large group! The service was spectacular and the food was great for all the different palates and allergies. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Disappointing dining experience. Avoid and dine elsewhere.. Celebrated a dual birthday dinner with 9 family members on April 25, 2015 (including 3 young children who exercised tremendous patience) and the service was so slow that we were there 3 hrs total from time of sitting to finally leaving. The food wasn’t great, some of it cold, when it did finally arrive well over an hour after ordering. The most insulting part was that no one from management had the courtesy to even apologize for the delay….really a disappointing experience. I strongly recommend avoiding this Kitchener location and dine elsewhere.Regards,Rob G
Don & Val Acton. Waited for seating while there were at least 2 tables and 3 booths open we saw the hostess and waitress clean and re-clean these same tables several times while we waited. Oh by the way there is no formal waiting area only the bar (not interested) group of six got called to be seated to the back of restaurant. they were the only ones ahead of us. and the 5 tables aforementioned remained empty. We were finally called to be seated in one of those 5 tables took 20 mins. for no good reason. things did get better our waitress was quick courteous and friendly. The food was mediocre at best. The dessert my wife had was over-sized I guess it was meant for two ice and fire it was named but the crust was tough to break off. I had the gluten free turtle jack dessert well saying gluten free should tell you enough. overall we would only go back if all the other restaurants in the area were full up and there was no line up here oh except for the 20 min. waste of time turtle jacks puts you thru
Left hungry. Just left Turtle Jack’s and must say i am very unimpressed and it is doubtful that I will be back. I was in for dinner with my son 3 nights ago and we had bruschetta and then I had beef barley soup. It was so delicious that I even recommended the soup to many people. It was so delicious in fact that i returned this evening to have the soup and bruschetta. Lauren took my order and then i didn’t see her again until she took my plates away and brought my bill!!! She never came to ask how my meal was or I would have told her! The bruschetta was drenched in balsamic dressing so much that the bread was soggy. I ate 2 pieces and had to stop as my mouth was puckering!! The soup seemed to be very watered down and barely hit an acceptable level in the bowl. It was not busy at all but I waited too long for Lauren to return so I could get my bill. She brought the bill and said she would get the machine. A different girl came back with the machine, said nothing to me but here is your card and your receipt. I found the service to be very poor so much that I didn’t leave a tip and I usually tip 20-25%. I can guarantee that I will rescind my previous recommendations and think twice before returning to Turtle Jack’s.
Salmon overdone. Sent it back. They apologized and remade it. The other diners in my party were done before it got brought to me. It was underdone when it arrived. Don’t order the salmon.
Fantastic!. Well, I must say we had to wait for our table for a while.But that is to be expected sometimes.Once we were seated, we had placed our orders and we were payed an unexpected visit by the Magician fella Darryl. It was quite the treat and I must say, he was really good and measmurised my family.He was with us for a bit when the food arrived he had to cut loose from us and everyone was hoping he would return. Any way we found out he is in there every Saturday night. So we can se him again at a later date.I recommend you go on Saturdays to see something extraordinary.Ok back to the food, the food was fantastic, and everyone enjoyed their plates, no complaints here.Overaul, a great time out and My family and friends still talk about the Magician they have their.
