Lunch. Best Tuna salad.
Ugly Place, Beautiful Food. Yes the restaurant is far from new, but it does have a cute charm! Waitresses are amazing! food is slightly pricier than average (since in queensville), but i think this restaurant has a great future. Will be back SUPER SOON. Loved it so much. Food is excellent, I had the pork ribs & they fell off the bones AMAZING! Try this out, you wont regret it! so much better than a chain restaurant

Don’t be discouraged by decor. This is a super little gem of a restaurant that would be easy to drive by and dismiss. Don’t. You will miss it’s quirky character, its fabulous food and dedicated chef and staff. The food is hot, hearty and homemade and you have to try one of the chef’s many eggs benedict choices at breakfast. Just unbeatable. Worth the wait if there is a line, even in winter.
First dinner experience was fantastic. As a fellow chef I can be highly critical of restaurant food. Been to tatlows for breakfast and sure enough my first dinner visit was just as good if not better. I had the chorizo pasta and it is a very well balanced and seasoned pasta dish. The portions are good, the flavours in the dishes are even better. Very good restaurant to go for a bottle of wine and a nice dinner. Love to support local restaurants and I look forward to my next experience.
What an amazing little gem!. This little gem came highly recommended to me from friends. My only regret is that it took so long for me to visit. I went to Tatlows with three other people my grandmother, my husband, and my mother in law. This place is nothing to look at design wise. My grandmother can be a little bit of a snob when it comes to dcor, so upon walking in and seeing the restaurant, she did not look pleased. By the end of the meal that discerning look had disappeared from her place. I had the hamburger, my husband had the stake, my grandmother had the stir fry and my mother in law had the curry. Despite ordering four very different dishes, we were all thoroughly pleased. The hamburger tasted homemade and was well seasoned. The fries were the surprise of the night they were mildly seasoned and not too greasy. The portion sizes are all quite generous as well. If youre thinking about eating here plan ahead and save some room for dessert! I will definitely be going back soon. Its going to take me tons of trips to get through their menu.
Unfortunatly not so good experience. Reading all the hype in the newspaper article I wanted to try this restaurant . I’m a big supporter of local restuarants and usually have good experiences. So with a empty belly and a hardy appetite I was game to have a meal.I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict one of my favorite dishes. My plate came cold and so were the eggs and potatoes. They took my plate and heated the potatoes but not the eggs. The waitress said she would not charge me. However, despite not being charge I could not eat cold eggs. I decided to order the new menu item a Greek salad witch was over filled with red peppers and maybe a teaspoon of feta cheese and I eat less than half of it. I left hungry and ended being charge for this over priced salad. Perhaps if I did not read the newspaper article I may not of been as disappointed but they set the expectations very high.
