Great Restaurant in our little town of Mount Albert. Live local so love that we can walk to such a great restaurant. Tried many things off the menu and they are well presented, tasty , & ample potions. Deserts are good as well. The only dishes I am not a big fan of that I tried multiple times are the mixed pasta because I found they had too much sauce & seemed sloppy. Not that they tasted bad just felt like the taste of other ingredients were overpowered by sauce. That’s just my preference less sauce. I would recommend this place to my friends in heartbeat.
Great food and service. Drove to Mount Albert from Uxbridge after receiving the Twisted Fork menu in the mail. The dinner portions were generous and tasted great. Recommend the Baked Brie on Baguette as an appetizer…yum!
Amazing, fresh, delicious food. Eaten here a number of times. Food is always awesome! Cheesecake is the absolute best! Atmosphere and decor a little lacking but food is absolutely fabulous so very worth it to go. Great prices as well!
We Have a Winner!. We’ve been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Wait staff doesn’t rush you but is there whenever you need them. The place is decorated in relaxed neutral tones and is spotless. The young chef knows his stuff and can cook fish and meat to perfection. Salads are fresh and original – no iceberg here.Their sweet potato fries are exceptional but made in limited batches and not every day – those alone are worth the trip so we always ask as soon as we sit down if it’s a sweet potato fries day. Desserts are limited but all are good – the carrot cake with cream cheese icing especially (no walnuts). Best restaurant coffee ever – both regular and decaf. They also do takeout which we have used as we live locally. Mount Albert is lucky to finally have a truly good restaurant – one that could hold it’s own in the downtown of any big city.
Holy S*** The Food was Good. Compared to what was there before this place is great. I had the club sandwich on once occasion and the baked brie and trout on another. Delicious food – full of flavour. Definitely recommend. Will be going back again .
Great little place. The first thing that impressed me was that it is so clean and bright. The wait staff do not attack you for drinks as soon as you sit down and give you time to decide on your favourite. The food is fresh, moist and deliscious. I am slowly making my way through the choices, and have not found one not to my liking, but the Eggs Benedict with dried tomato cannot be beaten. Initially we found the prices high, but when the final bill came in we were quite surprised. Mount Albert is lucky to have the Twisted Fork, long may they continue to provide excellent meals.
DELICIOUS, AFFORDABLE and did I mention DELICIOUS!!! Hidden Gem!. This place is awesome! Food is fabulous and scratch made – burger is one of the very best I’ve ever had! Fries are fresh and fried to perfection. Fish was also delicious! Wine and drinks are wonderfully priced so we get a bottle of wine and some beers every time we go! Fresh, well cooked food for a price that is better than the chain restaurants (like Kelsey’s, Montana’s and the like) that this restaurant would be considered similar to. Wait staff is great. Only one comment (which I assure you is not a complaint just something I’ve noticed): when we order wine they just bring the bottle and place it on the table, they do not pour for you or have you taste it. It really doesn’t matter to me because I am perfectly fine pouring my own drink and the wines I’ve ordered were screw top which you don’t really have to taste because they do not get cork-rotten. I just found it a little odd because I’m used to waiters pouring wine. If they want to ensure they are offering a fine dinning experience for all guests, they may want their staff to begin pouring wine.Hope this little gem in Mt Albert does well! We’ve been looking for a place as good (or better) than Roast of Sharon since it closed and this place (other than the general atmosphere) is definitely comparable in terms of its great food and great price.Oh and did I mention the desserts!!! The Cheese Cake is the best I’ve ever had (and I eat a lot of cheese cake) and the Tartufo is AMAZING!!! The Ravioli things are also incredible!!! Everything is scratch made (except for the Tartufo – which our waitress informed us of) – but regardless the desserts are fabulous!
