Very Good. Went here while on vacation in Toronto recently. We wanted greek food but had a really hard time choosing from amongst the many, many greek restaurants in greektown. We choose this place after walking by and seeing what seemed like a more authentic, classy and subdued atmosphere compared to the others. The service was pretty good overall-it seemed pretty slow considering they were not all that busy but everything we had was well worth the wait. All the food was excellent-we had the feta with olives appetizer and the lamb shank and patisio for entrees. The lamb shank in particular was maybe the best lamb I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
Had some of the best seafood I have eaten in the city at Avli on March 8, 2014! Amazing Sardines, mussels, calamari, salmon, scallops, shrimps… The list goes on, searched in a platter of rice which had peas and an amazing seafood au jus. Just great!
Great restaurant with some delicious greek food, the staff were friendly and its a bit pricy, but hey if you want a good quality food with a good service you have to pay for it.. I would deffinetly go back there
MMM..mmmm, but $$$ $$. Not your usual Danforth Greek spot! Prices are QUITE up, but quality is even MORE up!!! (Still, I can’t forgive any place charging $12 for a skimpy triangle of Saganaki Opa.) Salads had real (not iceberg) lettuce, menu was intriguing. My seafood pie was phenomenal, truly. The other food I tasted around me was excellent. Beautiful looking place, amazing – but not phony – hospitality, verrrry busy (understandable). Yum, to say the least.
Just okay. We made a reservation for 8 and were not seated until around 8:40, understandable given how busy it was. But what really upset us was once we were sat we were left there for over 10 minutes. No menus, no greeting, no drink order. Nothing. I don’t mind waiting as long as I can at least look at the Menu. Instead of giving us menus or even acknowledging we had sat down, the servers were clearing other tables or closing out checks, as if that was more important. The Food was just okay, had better Greek food at other restaurants so will probably not come here again.
Great appetizers (especially the dips), friendly service and a to die for lamb shank!!!
Wonderful evening. We had a great dinner here. Saganaki and salad were great, our entrees were so delicious… and our greek coffee, baklava and after-dinner drinks were perfect. I had my husband, but I will say, if you go as a group of single females the owner with a pony-tail will bring you dish after dish and hit on you. We watched it in the making.
