I have been to Megas before but not for a long time. Nothing has changed, the food, decor and service all the same. I ordered the Saganaki, the flaming cheese which i think everyone ordered. Its so good. I should have asked for pita instead of eating it with the table bread. I also got the chicken souvlaki pita with side salad. Nothing fancy just classic Greek food. There are cheaper places but this place is consistent and was recommended by one of my Greek friends. starvingfoodie.blogspot.com

Sloppy service, worst spanikopita on the Danforth. Greek salad had creamy dressing under the feta, not what I was expecting. Good dressing but too much of it. My friend ordered black tea. The water was more on the yellow side. Had to ask for another bag after asking if possibly a mistake was made (thought it was herbal) friday night 9pm. Waitress never came back to the table to top up water or ask what we needed. Most dirty dishes were left off to the side of our table. When we asked for the bill the man asks what we ordered. We said ask the waitress! Will not go back. Too many better places with much better, friendly service.

Service here is very good, but the fried calamari was below average. Chewy and heavy on the breading. I did have a taste of my companion’s Moussaka and it was very good, also they use an excellent olive oil so I may give this place another try sometime.

Terrible experience. I came here with some friends because the wait for a table at my favourite place up the street was too long. What a mistake coming to Megas was.Service was very slow. Appetizers small and seemed grocery-store bought. The haloumi was the exception – it was very tasty. I ordered a glass of retsina, and they brought me a child-sized glass (maybe twice the size of a shot glass) and charged me $7!! What a rip-off.Were sat in front of our empty appetizer plates for at least 15 minutes, at which point we still hadn’t placed our order for mains. Finally, we got our orders in, and 15 minutes after that, when we thought our food was coming, our server comes out and tells me they ran out of the item I ordered. I changed my order, thinking now we would all have to wait even longer for our meals, but mine came out in 5 minutes. My friends’ meals did not. Not only that, a different server (male) brought out my plate and overtly rubbed his arm up against my chest in putting the plate down, then apologized and said it was an accident when I jumped back in shock. I don’t buy it. I have put plates down in front of people at my own dinner table for years, and have never had to rub my arm up against anyone’s chest to get it done. I should have left without paying then and there. My food was cold by the time the other mains arrived, and my veggies were over-cooked and over-salted, the chicken was nicely seasoned but was on the dry side.I will never come back here.

Dismal. I can’t think of one thing that would make me recommend this restaurant.

Good, healthy Greek food with great service. The food was simply amazing. We ordered as a group and shared the food between us. That way we can try everything on the table. I had a few favorites among which were the grilled octopus, Vegetarian Mousaka and of course the staple Chicken Souvlaki. Everything was made to perfection.

Megas Restaurant on the Danforth. I am here to write what I think is the correct image of the restaurant Megas. His specialty is his seafood assortment. His prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is exceptional. I must recommend this restaurant for its good food, good service and great atmosphere. I would definitely go back and recommend their fresh seafood. Apparently it is always fresh on a daily basis.,
