The place is a bit of a hole in the wall and shabby. However, if you are craving for some good old desi food like Dal Makhani, Butter Chicken, or Paneer Tikka, you should try this place. Their thalis are pretty economical. What I loved about this place was their selection of Indian sweets – they have a huge range from Laddoos to Barfis to Gujias – great place if you want to pick up sweets for Indian festivals. The staff is super sweet too.

Based on these reviews, I expected a good indian meal. I had the butter chichen and it was gross. It came on a big bone… Sauce wasnt good at all. Cheap rice, potatoes were dry. The naan bread was great, it’s the only thing we liked. I guess we didnt eat the right thing… 🙁 But i will never go back there.

Best butter chicken and hands down most authentic Indian food you will find in Toronto. Their thali runs at around 8$ and is more food than i can eat. Desserts are great. Cantw recommend it enough.

Finally my hunt for a real indian mutton (Goat) curry in Toronto ended here. Awesome goat curry with indian level spicy. Even Chicken was good. Coming to veg, palak-paneer looks yummy but taste wise ok. Same with matar-paneer.So overall I think this place is perfect for non-vegetarian Indians (Or who can eat high spicy). Roomali roti was no where close by any angle. It was thick and tasteless. Roomali should be very thin, hot and soft.Don’t miss the Mango lassi. Its again awesome.

Best butter chicken in the city – hands down. Been going here for decades and haven’t found better anywhere, including several famous joints in India. This is not a sweet dish (signs of an unauthentic butter chicken). It is smoky, succulent and made with dark meat. My fave combo is a rumali roti.

You get what you pay for with this place. I have walked past this place dozens of times and been put off by the way it looks, I finally decided to give it a try and in future I will keep walking past! I have eaten in many places that offer great quality food despite being cheap but this isn’t one of them. I got the Veg Thali (comes on a plastic tray and you get plastic cutlery), none of it looked appetizing but I tried it all anyway. The entire thali was cold, oily, bland and tasted old (like it had been sat there for a few days and slightly reheated). I expected a lot better after the reviews that I had read but was thoroughly disappointed, the very least you expect from an Indian place is flavor even if the service and presentation is below par, but that was lacking too. Even the staff were rude and unhelpful. I will not be back

Ok so the food is ok but there is a guy cooking my food with a massive terrorist beard not covering it. Also they are too cheap to turn on the heat. Everyone is wearing jackets and freezing. Dont go here. Its too old and unsanitary
