I expected a lot better for a Mediterranean restaurant. I ordered a salmon meal ,which came with a Greek salad. The salad was good but not an authentic Greek salad. The salmon was great ,but the rice that it was placed on was under seasoned and there was too much of it. I expected a realistically sized meal with good quality rather than a big meal with less flavour.
My friend and I came here for a winterlicious lunch and were very impressed. The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is nice as the space is quite open and bright with the large windows at the front. Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
Food was fine. What I didn’t like was watching my waiter take the bread basket and emptying the un touched contents of bread buns back into the pile of buns to go out to other guests later. Makes me wonder if I got second bread as well.
I went in a group with my fianc and two friends for a Taste of Danforth. The food was sub par at best. I got the Pork Souvlaki and ate some of my friend’s Saganaki. However, the food was not an issue till 40 min after. My friends and I all had to rush out of the festival due to digestive issues. Thanks for making the Taste of Danforth a horrible experience.
Left-overs?. I have been to Ouzeri several times and this last visit was disappointing. The food must have been left over from Taste of the Danforth. Rice was soggy and potatoes were overcooked (twice cooked?)and soggy. My guest’s Spanakopita was just this side of burnt. My lamb chops were a collection of overcooked chops of various shapes and thickness with so much fat and grizzle it was hard to find the meat. Waste of breath to ask for these to be cooked medium rare. Salads and apps were fine.
Summerlicious-2014. We went for dinner at Ouzeri, and everything was absolutely great. Nice restaurant, cool ambiance, nice patio. Reminds you a little of a cozy restaurant in Athens. The Mydia, calamari and the chicken souvlaki were absolutely delicious and fresh, authentic greek flavor and the baklava was simply scrumptuous.Our waiter, Jorgo was also very nice and attentive.Great experience.
Good food. We tried winterlicious menu, the service was very good, and the food excellent. I had delicious mussels, rosemary pie and baklava. Everything was very tasty and fresh. My girlfriend had Gigantes, salmon and baklava and told me that was delicious as well, very, very tasty. As mentioned the service was excellent so no complaints!
