Cute caf and friendly staff. I ordered the Penguin mint hot chocolate. It was very sweet and flavourful. The salads looked good and I had one with kale, chicken and pecans. I arrived close to their closing time so they were not serving sandwiches any more but the selection looked appealing. They have a few fritter options like fried mars bar which is worth trying next time.
Cute little corner cafe. I like that they make much of everything in house, including their granola. Had a chat with the owner & she told me that with fall here they would be adding a few pumpkin items on the menu. Good to know they serve seasonal items. The apple fritters are made to order. I saw a lady in the kitchen frying them up for me. I would go back for the fritters. The reason I’m not giving this place a higher rating is that my fritters looked a little too dark brown which tells me the oil was not super fresh. I’ve no idea how often they change the oil so I can only hope that I just came on a day that the oil was scheduled to be changed. I’ll give them another try to see if it’s better the next time. If it is I’ll gladly up my rating.The all day breakfast menu looks good must try that one time too.
I did not have any food this time but it was my first. I am familiar with most coffee shops in Leslieville but decided to give this place a try. It was a perfect, smooth macchiato, in the pure Italian tradition. Just enough foam, smooth with no bitterness. And the owner June is a very warm and friendly lady!
I DROOL over the apple fritters. Made fresh and hot… They’re incredibly delicious. I cannot even explain how delicious they are. Well worth the calories!
What’s great about this place? The fact that the owner takes her business seriously and it shows. Great food served to order, and excellent coffee. This place is so much more inviting than the franchise across the street. The Ruben is my current favourite. All day breakfast is a rare treat especially served so well. Its a cosy, friendly, place that feels trendy but like a neighbourhood cafe. This place is the epitome of the new Leslieville. Check it out and you’ll understand why Leslieville is becoming so popular.I love the apple fritters that are made to order so they are fresh and warm and sweet. Each staff member brings in their own Playlist so the background music varies but is enjoyable can’t say enough good things.
Nice place to people watch out the big windows while enjoying a coffee and apple fritters are made to order. Good selection of sandwiches for my next visit.
I’ve been this cafe since they are open.Always warm welcome from all staffs and very nice cozy cafe. I like Chicken Caesar wrap with home dressing. And legendary apple fritter. You must try, deadly good.
