Underwhelming. Awful service, took a half hour to place an order – even though my family was the only ones in the dining room at 5pm when we arrived. We had to ask to order drinks, since we were never asked. Food order was messed up since the waitress did not write anything down. Would not return, too bad – its location on Coxwell was convenient for me.
Great wings
This neighbourhood spot is a treasure! We entered with some amount of trepidation but were greeted with casual charm. The menu was impressive. Lots of veggie options (we are a family of mixed dietary preferences) and something for everyone. And then the food came! Wow! It was fantastic. Simple, straightforward flavours and good quality food. I had a salmon salad but it came with fresh mango slices, ripe fresh avocado and sliced lemon over crisp greens — exquisite! My husband had the meat special and relished it thoroughly — better than the bistros in the beach. My daughter had a veggie wrap and said it was the best ever. She even got the red velvet cake for dessert because it looked irresistible. And it was! We will be back!
Hidden Gem. We moved to the area last Dec. and saw Remarks and thought that it would be another Road house with plastic food, BUT, we went one eve because we were in a rush and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and attentive. We have been back at least 15 times for lunch, breakfast and dinner and I can only think of one thing I had that I didn’t like, not because it was lousy, just not my taste. If you are a local you should try it , it is better than most restaurants on THE Danforth.
