Get fresh baked bread here for mom. And some sweets on occasion. Nothing remarkable. Tried a sandwich from the north side of the counter and it was ok. Good variety of feta and olives. Greek/Turkish coffee on the other end is strong and available for take out.
Changing but not for the better. I have been a happy Select customer since they opened but yesterday I purchased some of their pouros made with the new recipe. They are not only 25% smaller than before for the same price (I had an old one and a new one side by side) but with the shredded philo that they now use as a filler they are also dry and not nearly as delicious as the old ones that were dripping with honey. I will not be buying any more unless they go back to the old recipe. Better to increase the price a bit than to ruin what was a winning product.
Good Wedding Cakes. Our Select Bakery wedding cake was fantastic. They had a huge selection and they delivered it for us. Highly recommended.
I’ve been to all the Greek bakeries in Toronto and this one’s my favourite and by far the best quality.
