I can’t believe I haven’t come here sooner. I’m not a big sweets or baked goods person, but everything here looks so good. I have the Blondie with homemade marshmallows, and it was melt in your mouth good. My fiance had the butter tart square and devoured it within seconds. I’ll definitely be back.
Best cupcakes. I am going to make a bold statement and say that Sweet Bliss makes the best cupcakes in the city. They’re better than Prairie Girl and Bobbette & Belle, IMHO. First, they’re a normal size, I don’t like feeling like I just ate a whole cake. Second, the buttercream is smooth and flavourful, not overly sugary or tasting of shortening. Third, the flavours are great. I’m not one who needs sixty flavour of cupcakes. The chocolate peanut butter and the lemon are amazing, as is the carrot with creamcheese icing. Our whole family is now addicted, it’s pretty bad. They lure you in the door with $2 lattes, and then hook you with creamy buttercream and soft cake…. mmm. Try the brownies too, also the best anywhere. I haven’t been blown away by the squares, I find the bottom crust too hard. How did I not mention the cinnamon buns yet? Best anywhere as well. Not too sweet, they’re soft and yeasty with lots of cinnamon flavour. Love.
Sweet Bliss owner should read this. I buy goods from Sweet Bliss maybe once or twice a month, not so much anymore because they keep cutting their hours. I got 2 different cupcakes from them about 2 months ago, one was very fresh, the other was hard as rock, maybe 5 days old. Next time, I will ask them which ones are fresh.
