Beautiful calm atmosphere with peaceful music, friendly and welcoming staff, and utterly delicious food at a very affordable price. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried on the menu so far, and I only wish they were located in my neighbourhood in the west end! Very flavourful food, and they have options for all kinds of dietary needs– delicious meat dishes (fresh bison!), vegetarian options, the best trout and salmon I’ve had in a long time, dairy-free dishes, etc. Come by and try it some time, and you won’t be disappointed.
Humble & honest dining. They serve solid, tasty & filling food, they don’t worry about creating some fancy high-end dining experience. Eating there brought me back to every little cafe I’ve ever dined in, from Haines Junction to Carstairs.
The blanket dog was awesome. Wrapping a hotdog in bannock and deep frying it makes it vastly superior to a corn dog!!The Wild Rice salad was delicately seasoned and there was great care in the preparation. Even the pine nuts were toasted in-house!!!Owner Enis (sp.) Miller is to be commended! His staff are super friendly!
