Ambiance:The walls are decorated with vines. There are plants displayed along the walls on one side. It’s a cozy restaurant with exposed ceilings and wooden benches. There is usually a line outside the restaurant since it’s sits only a handful. Food:Chickpea Shakshuka: looks tastier then it actually was. It lacked flavor. The bread was very good a little on the burnt side. I also don’t think it’s enough bread for the amount of food.

TL/TR: Its not worth it if you are told that you have to wait 20 minutes for a table. We were a party of four on a Saturday morning around 11:30 AM and we were told it would take around 20 minutes to be seated but, everybody that came AFTER us was told exactly the same amount of time. While waiting for our table I did a head count and found between 34-40 people seating so, its a small restaurant. After 30 minutes, we finally got our table and, for the most part, the staff was friendly and diligent…We ordered a Green Wood Classic brunch, two Salmon Rosti and an Omelette. The food was good (ok in my case) but, certainly not outstanding; and, for the price and flavors, the portions were sort of disappointing, specially, after waiting half-an-hour for a table. For example:The Green Wood Classic consisted of two small sausages (very small), two eggs, a handful of roasted potatoes (with no special seasoning), a bit of fresh salad (a little bit) and small slice of toast that wasnt even toasted for $14.00. I ordered extra bacon for $2.00 (which they forgot to plate) and it was literally three small pieces bacon. For $16.00 + Taxes you can find other places with either better portions or tastier flavors. For me, it wasnt worth the wait! Just look at the pictures and see for yourself…To be fair, my friends liked their food therefore, I gave this place an acceptable rating.

Loved this spot! Came here for brunch on a Saturday with a friend who lived in the west end and I think she’s been converted to east end eats. The service was very attentive and when we asked what was good on the menu, the waitress recommended her favourites so we went with those choices and weren’t disappointed. Love the use of local ingredients as you can really taste the freshness in the produce. Can’t wait to check out dinner here!

We enjoyed a great meal here tonight. The staff are fun and attentive and the vibe is casual, and the food is really solid. The underlying theme is local and sustainable, and this extends to the alcohol. I had one of the best margaritas ever..so smooth….There is a limited but thoughtfully chosen wine list, available by the glass or by the bottle, and some great craft beers, as well as non-alcoholic options. We ordered the loaded potato wedges as an appetizer, and they were just super. I had the fried chicken sandwich topped with homemade slaw and hot honey, and it was more food than I could handle, which is saying something, lol. My husband ordered the braised short ribs and they were perfect. He was also a huge fan of their coffees. So all in all, a winning night!
