Meh. If you love Tapas, you’re all set …….. other than that it was good …. but not outstanding.
Tremendous Tapas!. Three of us stopped here before going to the theater only because I was on crutches and we met at Lululemons. This was the closest place and I have to say if I had been able to walk I would have walked right by for a nicer street appeal place. I would have also missed out on this wonderful hidden gem. The deor is simple but the food is not that at all. We decided to try a variety of tapas in lieu of full dinners. We had the lamb meatballs with mint flavouring to start. All I can say is Wow! Followed it up with the oxtail empanadas- So tender with a scrumptious sauce and the pastry was very light. Other tapas we had were: a) chicken red pepper croquettes- wonderful b) red pepper pieces stuffed with brie with a wine sauce- to die for c) flat bread with pine nuts and fresh tomatoes- flavour popped in your mouth d) fig wrapped with crispy ham- mouth watering e) calamari- lightly breaded with a perfect dipping sauce. tiny Os as well as little full octupi on plate- Perfectly cooked. I loved them and f) the perch tacos- our only disappointment of the whole evening. Not much flavour at all . I was surprised because everything else was truly amazing. We completed all of these dishes with a chiro and tea. The chiros were delicious but I expected them to be served with a dolce de luce or caramel sauce. They serve them with a dark chocolate sauce which is a nice sauce but it diminishes the taste of the chiros instead of enhancing them with the above sauces I would think would work better. Overall I loved this dining experience, and so did my dinner companions.
Terrible. I’ve been there on two occasions. The first I found the food to be bland and over priced. The second time was served a bottle of wine and then told they closed in 15mins so order up and drink up!!! Bottom line avoid this place
Bad Service. The service here was slow, and when we asked our server, the owner came over. What an attitude! I wont be back to there pretentious, overpriced restaurant. Buca here I come!

Outstanding!!!. If you like tapas, you’ll love Corks. This is a great little Place in downtown Oakville. The food is exceptional and the staff is very friendly. The patio is cozy an quaint.The piquillo peppers stuffed with lamb, olives and chili were outstanding, as were the calamari fritti and shrimp fritters. The Patatas Fritas(hand cut fries) tossed with smoked paprika and served with aioli and tomato sofrito were very good.Keeping with the Spanish theme, they had a nice lager from Barcelona called Moritz.Will definitely make Corks a frequent dining spot!
Wedding-May 14,2011. I have nothing but praise to say about Corks Restaurant. We had our son’s wedding reception there and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From the chef to the decor, the food, and the waitstaff-there was over 40 guests and only 3 waitstaff and nobody had to wait or ask for anything. I would highly reccommend Corks for 2 people; or a party. Thank You so much for making my son Bill and his new wife Erin a very special an rememberable night! I will be going back again
