Love this place. One of my top restaurants in Oakville. Management is friendly, staff even better and the food delicious. Take their cooking class if you can or better yet get invited to one of their many special Host nights!! Simply amazing! (I do confess I miss Chef Bill but only for the chats!) 🙂
Not the greatest food for the price. Only patio on the downtown oalville main strip. Presentation is good. Branzino and trout lack and their sides lack flavour. Surprised to hear thoseDishes do well. Maybe for those who like simple taste. Chicken, gnocchiand crab ravioli are good. Stick to them. Not the best menu. Good for wine.

Amazing. It’s amazing to me that I wrote a review a few weeks ago, and now it has been taken down. My concerns where with management not the restaurant itself… And now I see that the owner or management has taken the time to comment back to the reviews… This is great! Maybe my review did have some impact to make some positive changes…
My husband and I went Downtown Oakville on Friday night and to our surprise we found live jazz at Paradiso…Francis the bartender was amazing very funny and made our night.
Amazing Place!. We decided to go to Paradiso after stopping by in Oakville on a Friday evening. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted by the staff at the front of the restaurant. The staff was kind and attentive. We were brought to our table and given menus. A few minutes later, our server arrived with a huge smile on her face, explaining the specials of the evening. We decided on an appetizer first, which were the crab cakes. The server told us that there were only two crab cakes; she mentioned that if we would like, she could add another crab cake for us. We thought that was very courteous of her. We settled on the two crab cakes as we knew there was more food coming. Before the crab cakes arrived, we were given a small dish of bread with oil for dipping. The bread was freshly made and tasted delicious! It was a great touch to add oil for dipping on the side as it made it truly Italian. Our server offered to bring us more bread when we were finished our first plate which we gladly accepted considering how much we enjoyed it. The crab cakes arrived about five minutes after we had ordered them. They were steaming hot, with a garnish on top, and just the perfect size. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were! After about fifteen minutes of us receiving our crab cakes, our main dishes arrived. I ordered the wild boar gnocchi, and my boyfriend settled on the Italian sausage meatballs. The wild boar gnocchi was AMAZING! It had thin pieces of wild boar, with a delicious cream sauce. It was just the perfect serving size, not too much and not too little. Our server told us that the gnocchi were handmade in the restaurant which we both thought was astonishing considering how long it takes to make gnocchi from scratch. The Italian sausage meatballs were also wonderful; there were two large meatballs covered in sauce, with a side of leafy green aragula salad. The meatballs were large enough to fill up one person, they were beautifully proportioned with just the perfect amount of flavour. We were getting full but then decided to splurge on some dessert. The dessert menu had some great items but we settled on the feature of the day, which was the chocolate banana torte. We were told this torte was flourless to accomodate the gluten-free lovers; what a great way to remain inclusive to all customers! By the way, they also have a gluten-free menu for those who can’t eat gluten. After about five minutes of us ordering dessert, the chocolate banana torte arrived. It was a large slice, with sugared walnuts and banana sauce poured onto the side of the plate. The torte was, without a doubt, the best flourless dessert we had ever tasted! It was moist, tasty, and not too sweet, just perfect. We our told by our server that this will probably be added to the main dessert menu based on its popularity. After we finished our dessert, we asked for our bill. Upon walking out of the restaurant, we were asked by the management how our food was. We were happy to say that the food surpassed all of our expectations, not to mention the prompt and courteous service and the relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to Paradiso, and I recommend you give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!
First time visit tonight and was very impressed…the wild boar gnocchi was as good as all the reviews I had read prior to going tonight.
