Real pub food, hot and filling with an ice cold Guinness. Good place to go to with friends, but not a first date. Would recommend the ale pie on a cold day.

Guinness is fresh and pies are good. Atmosphere is perfect after a tough week. Wings are hit and miss but if you ask for them crispy they’re pretty good.

Pub Night. Went out on Saturday night. Delicious comfort food like shepherd’s pie and fish and chips. Great selection of beer and a fun atmosphere. The place caters to over 50 crowd.

Food was simply not good. Got the fish and chips- a pub classic. Batter was terrible, it was brought too us far too quick to be fresh. Cole slaw was mushy and tarter sauce was in a package. Wait stuff was old cranky and unpleasant.

Sunday lunch. A traditional homey resto/pub, complete with fireplace and photos of old sailing ships. Not particularly child-friendly: No high chair and booster had no straps. Recommend the montreal smoked meat sandwich; Not fancy, but cozy, and reasonable value, just off the main Lakeshore Rd. strip.

I don’t understand on what basis this place gets a 90% ! I ordered A burger which was inedible … dry and the pattie verging on being rancid … Whatever happened to peoples taste buds to give this place such high score!

  • Lunny

5/5: Very good traditional pub food with a traditional English pub’s decor and atmosphere.
