Great neighbourhood/family restaurant. Friendly staff, tasty traditional breakfast and lunch items, reasonably priced and quickly prepared. Even helpful with food sensitivities. I told them about my wheat allergy and they said no problem we will use a separate spot on the grill for you and we have gluten free bread. Open for dinner too. Check out the daily specials on the board as you go in. (Don’t tell Tim’s but the wi-fi reception from their store next door is excellent.)
There is something to be said about small, one-off restaurants that focus on customer service.We met with a friend for Sunday lunch in Oakville at the Sunlight Grill. It has a fairly broad menu with lots of breakfast choices. The place was very clean, and the portions were decent for the price. Our server was fast, friendly and efficient. She came by numerous time to keep the coffee topped up. We also had a couple of visits from other staff with the coffee pot.SWMBO chose the Greek Salad and added Grilled Chicken. Although it had a fair bit of dressing, she said it was fine and did not overpower the dish. I opted for the Sunlight Benny, which included 3 eggs, caramelized onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and home fries with a pleasant paprika heat.
