Memorable dinner. Definitely the most memorable seafood feast experience of my life. The lobster pasta, fried clams, jumbo shrimp cocktails. Get a seat by the oyster counter and hang out with owner Dean as he chucks and entertains at the same time. He and his amazing partner/wife Denise made the dinner unforgettable. Simple, down home perfection.
Lobster Roll 100% Better! Best I’ve Had for Years!. I bought a lobster roll at the start of summer, and it was very good, but the bun was small, not toasted and price a tad high I thought. I then went to New Brunswick and had 5 more lobster rolls at various places. Last month, I went back to The Mermaid, and had another lobster roll. Much to my surprise and delight, they have greatly improved it – toasted top slice bun, tons of fresh, sweet, tender lobster meat, and worth the new price of $16, up from $15. Still has a bit of dill, which I really like. Delicious! I recommend. Best I’ve had in years. Want to go back there very soon. Donairs next door are good too.
Simply the best. We had Dean and Denise cater our wedding this summer and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Our guests loved the food and our menu was creative and exactly what we wanted. They were flexible with changes and their staff was very professional. I would highly recommend The Mermaid and the Oyster for any catering events you have coming up.
Our favorite place!. Denise and Dean are the nicest people and have an amazing business. The food is amazing if you have them prepare it and if you eat in…be prepared to laugh, its a fun experience. If you are purchasing fish it is fresh, fresh, fresh and at very good prices.(if you go around the corner, you will pay MUCH more!) They will help you with recipes, choose fish, shellfish or whatever you are looking for. Have the lobster roll it’s really yummy! If you are looking for fish, lobster, shellfish, catering…you will not be disappointed! Miss you guys…xoxoxoxo
