Used to be good. This is only based on my experiences at lunch time. Until last summer, this was the best fish & chips restaurant in the area. ( It’s also the only one in the area.) Nice crisp, light batter on the fish and shrimp. This all came to an end when they changed the fryer. The guy has been replaced by a short woman who hasn’t got the timing right and tends to overcook the fish, dries out both the fish and the batter. I drop in sometimes hoping the old guy will be in, haven’t seen him yet, so I walk out.
Terrible fries and fish. Super greasy and fish was undercooked. Don’t waste your time here. Also the manager gives an unwelcoming attitude.
This used to be our favorite go to fish and chip place. Twice now we’ve been disappointed, not sure we will give it a third. Fish was greasy, fries are cold and service slow and unatentive.
Went for lunch today pretty pricey 3 prices of fish 2 fries small coleslaw and a 2 L bottle of pop $31 and to be honest for garbage. Fries were under cooked and fried in the same oil the fish was so they tasted like fish. The fish was an over priced diametric. Will never go back again
Great fish and chips. Love the light batter that surrounds the large piece of fish. This is one of the better fish and batter I’ve tasted. Though it cost between $8 -$10 for the fish and chips. I’ve been out west where the fish piece was half the size with heavy batter and costing $18. Cheap compared to out west
Best in 25 years. I love fish and chips but am really fussy. The light fluffy crunchy batter on a large portion of fish was wonderful. I really enjoyed my meal. If you are tired of over battered, small skinny portions of fish, the look at trying this! I am sure you will find this is the place for excellent food.:)
Good fish. Went here for the first time, While its a little on the expensive side. Its very good, the fish was nice batter not oily. The food is made to order right in front of you. Very limited menu though only fish and chips , shrimps and i saw crab cakes as well. Other than that not much else. As i was leaving i saw that they also have a clam chowder which i will give a try next time. Overall good service
