FOOD:We had come here at around 12:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon as we had heard so many great things and wanted to give it a try. We were surprised to notice that there was hardly any food out for lunch, along with hardly any loaves of bread. The lady behind the counter said that there was fish cooking in the back, but nothing else was mentioned. Therefore, we settled on two desserts, one was the Sicilian Cannoli, and the other was the Venetian Cannoli; both of them were about $3.00 each.In terms of the cream inside of the cannolis, I didn’t feel as though it tasted very fresh, although they were quite large. Also, I wasn’t too keen on the outer shell of the cannolis, as on the Sicilian one, it tasted a bit stale however, on the Venetian one, it tasted pretty good. Overall though, I wasn’t too impressed with the selection, and would have wanted to see more items on the counter for us to choose from, especially since it was around the lunch hour.ATMOSPHERE:This shop was located in a plaza that was hidden from the street therefore, it was very confusing to find. Also, it was very small, with hardly any room for people to walk around. There was no place to sit therefore, it was just a ‘take-out’ type of place. We were disappointed as we had hoped that there would be more places to sit, and to enjoy the desserts that we had purchased. Also, the music was quite loud, and the dcor wasn’t very inviting.SERVICE:When we had walked-in, we were served by a middle-aged woman that was behind the counter. She wasn’t too friendly when we told her that we weren’t sure what we had wanted (even though we were the only people ordering in the place), and she seemed a bit abrupt. However, when we were paying for our items, she seemed a bit nicer. Overall though, we felt that the service was a bit lacking at this establishment.COST:1 Sicilian Cannoli: Around $3.00 + 1 Venetian Cannoli: Around $3.00 = About $6.00 (Tax Included)WOULD YOU RETURN?In all honesty, I wouldn’t return to this place. I didn’t find the food as good as I would have thought, and the location is not ideal. Also, the service and atmosphere weren’t something I would feel comfortable going back to.
