You walk in here and think wow its very nice looking. But don’t let that fool you.I’ve been here twice now and my experience hasn’t changed. The food is definitely over priced. They want to charge $4 for a meat pie (Manakeesh). Your kidding right??I got a chicken platter. It was dry, had fatty pieces which make chewing unpleasant and lacked flavour. The portions are OK but seriously with it lacking flavor you don’t want to eat it.Also I have witnessed them putting used pickles, turnips etc (from a customers table with kids who just left and had their fingers all in the plate) back into the containers behind the counter. Manger was notified (nice individual) replied that the guy behind the counter was new 😐 and didn’t know any better. But makes you wonder. The girls cleaning the tables clearly brought the plate of pickles to him. Why wouldn’t they just discard and clean like the other used plates but instead specifically brought it to him.Won’t be returning!
Initially when I first went in I found it odd that you have to order the food and pay for it first then sit down and it comes… With no water. It’s strange that they don’t take your order but that’s apparently how must Arabic spots are. They did however bring water after it was requested. The pita bread is one of the best parts! It’s so big and cool looking. Not to mention it’s pretty good and the hummus is a little different than the usual taste I’m used to but after the first initial bite it got better as I kept eating. I got the falafel wrap and it was okay.. I just found it too salty to be honest and I wasn’t a fan of the end piece of the tomato they put inside- but it was still alright. I probably wouldn’t come here again… To be honest but it was a different experience. Not bad.
Amazing Signature Lamb Shank!. We just spent an amazing family celebration here. We pre-ordered the lamb shank on rice when we made our reservation, and we were blown away by the presentation and taste! The lamb was succulent, and fall of the bone tender, and the rice was adorned with almonds and seasoned perfectly. A must have!
